Rocky must feel left out, especially with Drysdale being a potentially big boost to his PP.
They can’t throw too much at him on day one.

Torts and Shaw have to teach him how to stop using his wheels for zone entries at 5 on 5 in favor of the dump and chase first.

Then maybe sometime next week Rocky can teach him how movement on the powerplay is bad

Three acceptable answers:

1. Someone whose career tops out at slicing lunchmeat
2. An entitled douche who butts into line
3. That guy whose gaze thrusts upward when the elevator fills with stench
4. Someone who purposely cuts themselves out of a sense of self-loathing

The Flyers are doing a full court media press about Cutter rejecting the Flyers when it seems to be very clear there's a lot more that happened here.

I sont blame him one bit. It's unfortunate that we'll never get his side of the story here because of the ol' boys club that is hockey, but is love to hear his side somehow.

Does any other team do this shit? I stopped paying attention years ago, but it sure seems like the Flyers lead the sports world in badmouthing their exes since at least Brad McCrimmon's contract debacle.

Not that I'm aware of, no. But as you can see from some people around here, they so it because it feeds the mob and shields them from any sort of accountability.

Crazy to think that Philadelphia just may not be the absolute best city in the world that everyone wants to live in. Weird.

The backlash from the Isles when Tavaras left was pretty brutal. Eichel leaving Buffalo too. Carter and the Blue Jackets debacle.

I dont think this is limited to the flyers.

From the team though? I'm not talking about the fanbase or the occasional Marcus Hayes with a perpetual axe to grind. The Flyers go on these prolonged smear campaigns and it is f***ing weird. It doesn't really matter in the end why Gauthier decided not to play here, and you already pulled the trigger, so have some restraint and move on.

Yeah, the Isles went turbo if I remember correctly. Which was quite reasonable when Tavaras basically strung them along like a high school crush.

The only one I can remember where the team was involved and not fans were the Isles, and even then, thays a one time thing.

The Flyers seemingly do this with every player. There was Ghost stuff when he left, you have thr Cutter stuff, and then, on par in terms of awfulness with Cutters stuff was the Hextall "pizza" posts.

The organization caters its messaging to the Neanderthals and sadly it works here. At least they get something "right" I guess.

IIRC, Tavares was asked by Gm if he wanted to be dealt at deadline, and he said no and that he wanted to stay with his guys. Also that was the year they broke ground on the new stadium I think? Pretty sure he put on the hard hat and took pics as captain lol

From the top of my head:

McCrimmon for not falling in line about his contract. The whole Lindros debacle. Janne Niinimaa daring to go to a Metallica concert in-season. Roger Neilson daring to get cancer and then wanting to come back to his job. Pitkanen the awkward loner. Dry Island. Hextall the control freak. Ghost. Voracek. Even a bit of shade thrown at G! Kevin Hayes. Cutter who was only a LW anyway. And I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of other examples.

It always seems to be something. There's a reason "no comment" is a thing, but it seems as if the Flyers PR department hasn't reached that lesson yet at PR school. Or rather, this all stems from Bob Clarke's worldview where you have to give your adversaries a good two-hander in the leg to cripple them, metaphorically speaking of course.
