Hey, he'll bring size and be the 'Don' of the Flyers. The dude is huge! He'll beat down Kevin Hayes and force Kevin to work for him.

So f***ing dumb. I will celebrate Clarke’s death like f***ing Christmas.
I won’t go that far, but the organization really needs a brand new philosophy and it’s not clear how that’s going to happen while all these ghosts of the past continue to roam the halls.

Hart, Ghost, NAK, Allison, Brink, Lindblom all come to mind. Could have run Stolarz as a better backup than Jones.
And the point doesn’t even need to be that someone “care about them,” where that equals “an impact player.” If they simply milked out their cost-controlled years, that means they’re not paying free agent prices to fill those roles, which means they have more money under the cap to spend it for a true need. Trading draft picks is a strategy for specific uses, not an involuntary bodily function. The value in keeping and having X% contribute to your team is that you control their costs. I don’t think any franchise is poorer in implementing this than the Flyers.

It’s just hilarious they blamed culture & defense for all their issues. So they got rid of Gostisbehere for what they did. Then they signed Yandle who was horrid. Now they trade for DeAngelo who doesn’t help with either of those & they paid assets the team doesn’t really have after years of doing so now.

They really have no idea what the hell they’re doing. It’s just flying by the seat of their pants. They can’t even stick to their on plan/ideas either (not that they’re great). The one consistent is though is that they’ll usually make the wrong decision.

One hilarious thing about this - the first part of your list was defended by "cap space is an asset! You dont understand, this is not Xbox!"
Well good news for the cap situation

Right-handed defensemen are much rarer and valuable than we could have predicted.

That draft capital makes me want to cry.
