i just cant...I dont post often, but this just kills it for me. I havent hated a team more until just now.
Kudos to Chuck for insisting on that 7th being included. Dude might be the toughest negotiator in all of professional sports.

(b) The following practices also shall not be permitted under this Agreement and may not be included in any SPC, nor otherwise agreed to by any Club, any person or any entity:
(i) Salary reimbursement, except to the extent permitted by Section 50.5(e)(iii);

It certainly makes them better next year, and $5M for two years isn’t that bad. As much as I prefer they value picks more, trading outside the first round isn’t the worst idea. In a vacuum, it’s not bad.
But this is not a vacuum, nor is it like watching an artist sculpt something out of a mound of clay. It’s like watching a junkie do eye-popping things to get their next fix on one day without any consideration for the bill coming due next week.
Why not just keep Ghost, the 1st/2nd/2nd/3rd/4th picks and forego acquiring RR and two 7th round picks? It’s just all so incoherent.

It is not because they have no value. They have no value because the Flyers are making the pick. All Stanley Cup champions receive value from picks made in the 2nd-4th rounds
