Post-Game Talk: Flyers @ Rangers 3/5/13 - Ryan Comcastahan and the New York Nashers

“@NYDNRangers: Stepan has his right ankle iced but is walking around and says he's fine. No update on Staal though”

Great game in every facet but the PK, but the Flyers made some nice plays there. So nice to see Miller play well, maybe Torts will finally put him at #3 C where he belongs. Also, if I see Bickel play another game Torts should be fired. The guy does nothing while on the ice but take bad penalties. He's a disgrace and I really hope the guy is working in McDonald's pretty soon. Everyone in CT is better than this clown.

I do but I'm scared for the worst. So don't listen to anything I say.. He looked real distressed and scared of his eyesight.... Not good. I fear for the worst.

Me too man...we all would be scared. Just hoping for the best.

I think the whole team was pretty good tonight. Weak plays by Danny G and MacD on the goals against, but we dominated the Flyers at ES tonight. They were gifted two PPs, and they finished on those gifts. That was it, for them. Otherwise, we kept on them all night and were the better team.

Apparently he's said he's more comfortable at wing.

That said, no **** you're more comfortable at wing, that means less defensive responsibility. ;)

He belongs at center, IMO - he scored his goals while playing center.

Kid has playmaking/skating ability, he is much more lethal at the center of the ice than he would be along the boards. I also feel he singlehandedly changed our transitional game with him playing center.

13:34 for Powe tonight, I know he whiffed on going for the clear on the 2nd Flyers goal, but seems Torts likes this guy. Was smart getting another guy who can kill penalties for Rupp.

Dan Rosen ‏@drosennhl

Lundqvist says he thinks the puck was flat when it hit Staal in the eye so he has cuts above and below his eye and is getting it checked now

it's so gratifying to beat the flyers and work in philthy. I can't wait to torture my coworkers, especially the idiot who was knocking the Nash signing

Good game all around

Cally - since the 2nd period in the game against the Jets he's been a man on a mission
Nash - So ridiculously good...still overrated on the main board :sarcasm:
Stepan - Made many plays tonight and looks so confident with the puck
Miller - Tough to believe how much poise he has
Gaborik - Looked more like the Gaby of last year...just couldn't put the puck in the net
Henrik - Stopped every shot he had a chance at

Everybody forechecked well and played well in the D-zone.

Our forwards were absolutely better than their forwards tonight. Our D was shaky a bit. One exception though was Eminger, I thought he looked solid in every area of the game tonight.

Danny G was struggling for stretches tonight, but settled down a bit as the game went on. I still hate him on the PP..

But the tempo/speed of the game was right were the Rangers should be. They also had the puck for the majority of the time tonight.

This whole #NYRExtra thing is such trash. I don't need to see 15 extra minutes of Al and Dave Maloney shooting the **** with whatever random guest they have that night. Post-game should be done in half an hour. Show me Cally, Lundqvist, and end the night with Torts.

But nope, Bill Pidto needs to do his MSG150 which might be the most annoying thing of all time. How much does that guy get paid to do that? For ****s sake.

Agreed, and he's not easy to knock off the puck, either.

Really liking Miller at center moving forward for this team.

@JimCerny: In describing what Rick Nash brings to the #NYR, Henrik Lundqvist compared him to Jaromir Jagr #MajorCompliment”

I've always thought Nash had a bit of Jagr in him. And I hope I wasn't the only one who noticed the Jagr-in-NY-like tuft of hair flying out the back of his helmet after the breakaway goal :yo:

Anyone else think Stepan has been playing real well lately and should be our #1 C between Nash n Hags ? The dude is seeing the ice so well right now.

The Rangers should really consider moving Boyle to a wing position when Richards is healthy. Its a shame Krieder was sent back down, cause I think Miller could have gotten his game going...
