Actually the people want a real goal song like "Doop" or "Ain't Talkin Bout Love" not some trash emo song or 80 new wave that is only liked due to a wrestling tie in. No one in this thread even mentioned a country song other than Oshie having "Take Me Home Country Roads". Which by the way is awesome when he scores at home.

I disagree. That song sucks too. It makes no sense that Blues fans sing it at their home games. The song is about West f***ing Virginia, not St. Louis or anywhere else in Missourri. Don't they see how stupid that sounds? It's equally non-sensical that Oshie picked it as a goal song because he isn't from West Virginia, let alone a member of the Blues. None of this makes sense and it angers me.

Would be happy if This Girl went the way of TNT and was the goal song for one game. Its so awful and bland but fits the mold of the current state of the franchise.

It's so perfectly the modern Flyers. They went out of their way to engage the fans on picking a new goal song, then picked one of the worst f***ing songs i've ever heard, completely ignoring what fans were asking for.

The fact that the crowd sings along is what makes it work for me. There is no way I'd learn the Flyers choice for this season.

Now imagine how it makes me feel to be sitting here in the middle of it.

What is the matter with you?

I hate when people feel as though they have to have an opinion on *everything*. It’s abundantly clear from what he said that he either doesn’t care for music or has incredibly bad taste, so why attack people and speak in absolutes about something you’re not particularly knowledgeable about?

Tarzan Boy and Beer are objectively upbeat, fun songs. There is current, tangible evidence of Tarzan Boy being fun and easy to chant along with. Beer was played in one of the best sports movies ever made in BASEketball. They’re both excellent choices. FWIW my vote was Bro Hymn.

Bruh, look in the mirror.

This could’ve been us but they bleeping ruined it with a stupid ass song

All I said was that all three songs were awful which in my opinion is valid. If you truly knew as much about music as you claim to do then you would know that everyone has their own tastes. The vast majority of people have torn the Flyers apart for these three "finalists."

Insinuating that i'm a country music lover in which you have absolutely no basis for while deciding to go with the absolutely hilarious cousin stereotype was top notch.

Not all opinions are good, and judging by your rudimentary taste, yours is not. It holds no value in any discussion involving music.

I know incredibly little about the stock market and how it works. I don’t go on message boards espousing nonsense as though I’m well-read on the subject, I ask people who know what they’re talking about. I suggest you do the same. It’s also very clear that you like the cousin-loving country because of how defensive you are.

Why you gotta bring 80’s new wave into this?

Brosephus, it's a truly disastrous look to post this indignant whining about people not liking the things you do and claiming it's because they're not knowledgeable, only to turn around and gape yourself over country.

And I don't even like country. It's just Tier 1 hypocrisy.

bro I’m not the one out here talking about something I’m not well versed about, so enough with the personal attacks

Actually you are, it's presently your signature move. It's so ridiculous I thought you were doing a fun bit at first, but now it sure seems you're serious and that's a real shame.

-bragging about drinking and driving
-bragging about getting dirty and jumping in creeks and lakes
-cheating on their spouse
-driving an oversized truck down a dirt road
-worshipping an inanimate piece of cloth (the flag)
-worshipping fictional characters (god/jesus)

I’m pretty sure I’ve summarized every country song ever made. You don’t have good taste if that’s all you listen to.

You're talking about hick hop, not country.

See what I mean about the ignorance?

Okay, so your music taste is stuck in the 1950’s. Are you a racist, too? Do you still think women don’t deserve to work? Because if your music taste is that outdated, I can’t imagine what else you believe.

Oh boy. You still don't know jack shit about country if you think it's all racism and misogyny. And that's true for modern country, not just old stuff.

Take your own advice and stop talking out of ignorance. I don't even listen to country and I'm aware of these basic facts. Why aren't you? Maybe you're the small-minded one. Expand your tastes beyond fratbro beats and wrestling.

You're embarrassing yourself because someone didn't like two songs you do. I can't believe you're this offended.

My point was that your taste is outdated, from a time wherein racism and sexism was even more rampant than it currently is, so if you’re still stuck in the 50’s musically, your morals and values probably are too.

Again, you are ignorant. There is no shortage of downright progressive country songs from the 50s.

Remember how you slopped out a post about not talking about things you don't understand? That's you now.

I've also made it clear I don't listen to country. So it isn't my taste. This is just fundamental music history stuff.
