Marner would hate Torts... He wouldn't like being held accountable/benched the next game a bit for when he does those god awful lazy giveaways in OT

Anyways, Leafs say NO to this

I don't think the Flyers can get better value, but it would be really bad to make this deal. Hart could be the goalie for the next decade still.

Marner is much more replicable despite being a star. He also makes way too much money and we shouldn't be condensing assets right now. We need many better players for the future.

So both the Flyers and the Leafs say no to this. This deal helps Toronto more than it helps Philly despite Philly landing the best value player probably.

If I’m Philly I’d ask for Kallgren instead.

Younger goalie with much more room to grow. I personally think he’s been a victim of Toronto’s awful defense/Keefe’s system. He’ll do much better under Torts.

Just kidding. Everything I just said was bullshit.

He’s the worst goalie I think I’ve seen play in the NHL in the last couple years. Worse than Jon Gillies.

Toronto
Philly says no to the best RW in the game for Provorov and Hart ? LOL

Easy pass from Toronto, Provorov is a 2nd pairing D, Hart is an average starter.

I was typing a response and then I read the last 2 lines lmfao, good one

As a Leaf Fan I’d swap out Marner for Nylander. That’s the only way I’d do it!
If Philly is moving hart the guy we'd want is Matthews. He's the best player in the franchise and at a position they've mangled for years.

Provorov probably will be dealt for a comparable center in a hockey trade or a prospect and picks that align more with the rebuild

Philly needs to add a protected (top5) 1st and then I think the value is fair.

This coming from a habs fan who hates Toronto.

Until Hart can stay consistent, he will always be a slightly above average goalie in the NHL...

Just because heart is phillys best player doesn't mean he has a lot of value, especially Matthews value. I wouldnt trade Matthews for any 4 flyers on or off your roster.

Philly’s d is intact. Its the offense that is taking the hit with all the injuries to their scorers so you need to consider that when evaluating Hart. Team is not scoring and is playing to win 2-1 type of games. That helps goalie stats.

Hart is known to let softies and make huge saves. Overall still very young goalie rushed into service in 18-19 for same exact reason: injuries to all the goalies!

Nothing can be fixed with this lineup.

Keep York, Foerster, goalie Ersson, injured top prospect Brink away from this mess. Gauthier doing good, same for Desnoyers.

Marner great piece but would not produce with this group.

Provorov on pace for his usual 35 pts output, playing too many minutes. Not sure if he can endure a few more years of not winning. 6.7 mil 2 more years isnt a problem. Rather have York, Attard and Zamula in Lehigh.

An injury to a top team might get IP out of Philly « if the price is right »: combo of young players, prospects, picks.

Hart is an average goalie at best. He gives up too many weak goals. The Flyers are horrific defensively but Hart is not a guaranteed #1.
Definitely not average at best, that is idiot to say. He's around a .920 SV% for 3 of his first 5 years in the NHL after being rushed in at the age of 19. This is behind perhaps a top 3 worst defense during that same timeframe. He is definitely a guaranteed #1 and likely not even in his prime yet, at the age of 24.

Philly probably needs to add a protected 1st to get this done though since Provorov isn't a top pairing dman.
