From what I can tell the scouts' final order (for this episode at least) was:
#1 - MacKinnon
#2 - Jones
#3 - Drouin
#4 - Lindholm
#5 - Barkov
#6 - Morin
#7 - Mueller
#8 - Zadorov
#9 - Nurse
#10 - Ristolainen
#11 - Monahan
#12 - Morrissey
#13 - Gauthier
#14 - Horvat

Holmgren didn't seem to agree with Monahan dropping from #6 to #11 on the board though.

Edit: Some more..
#15 - Lazar
#16 - Mantha
#17 - ?
#18 - ?
#19 - Domi
#20 - Nichushkin
#21 - Rychel
#22 - De La Rose
#23 - McCarron
#24 - Hartman
#25 - Hagg

By the sounds of the scouts it seemed like they wanted a defenseman. So it isn't surprising that they dropped Monahan but the order of the defensemen is certainly different than the predraft lists everyone else was going posting.

Yeah, when they say they take the bpa on their board it's because they have already accounted for needs on their board.

By the looks of it the scouts must have had a great day on draft day. They got 2 of their top 25 players and only had one 1st round pick. (I thought Hagg had first round talent and wanted him over Klimchuk)

I think they had Morrisey over Monahan.

I think they had Morrisey over Monahan.

At 6:57 he reads them off and lists Morrissey last (as an afterthought, almost). He writes in Morrissey's name then when he runs through them and numbers them afterwards, you can see that he writes in #12 in the spot where he slotted in Morrissey.

EDIT: And then at 7:50 he tells Holmgren, "You've got Morrissey after Monahan" just in case there was any doubt.

Flip flop Lindholm and Barkov... and flip flop Monahan and Morrisey.

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification. It is crazy to think about how much they moved around in that few minutes of discussion there! I didn't think it would work that way.

It did get pretty confusing at times. I saw a video about the Sabres' draft a few days ago and it was much more in-depth. I was a little disappointed with the Flyers' video.

Yeah, the top 6-12 started out as:

Monahan
Nurse
Morin
Mueller
Zadorov
Morrissey
Ristolainen

and then it somehow became:

Morin
Mueller
Zadorov
Nurse
Ristolainen
Monahan
Morrissey

How did they determine that Mueller and Zadorov were ahead of Nurse? I suppose much of the discussion was cut out, and they decided to only keep the things that pertained to Morin.

Interesting...so McCarron wasn't really a reach of a pick.

Also, nice to see the Habs get DLR at 34, seems like the flyers were high on him as well.
Man, I love these post draft videos, hope the Habs release one!

Thanks for grabbing these. Now I can troll Flames fans and tell them Monahan's barely better than Gauthier and have the Philadelphia Flyers backing me up :sarcasm::sarcasm::sarcasm:

Wow, they were totally going for the ''we NEED a D'' pick. Holmgren did not seem all that happy with the changes to the order, eh?

As someone who got Morin 24th in my keeper league, that was exciting stuff. Hope they are right on him. A bit surprised that their other Q scout Simon Nolet was not seen arguing in that meeting, he's the one credited for Gagne, Giroux, etc.

Interesting video. Hope other teams do something similar.
Although Flyers specifically targeted a Dman, Nich at 20 seems odd.

Great video. I really love this stuff. I hope to get something like this for Toronto. I've always admired the PHI staff and thought highly of their scouts and draft work. It was great (as a leaf fan) to see they valued Gauthier at 13. He shoots he scores!:yo:

That list goes to show you again that the real pros (not wannabe writers) have very different lists then what we get access to.

Very interesting. Monahan and Nichushkin both pretty low rated by them, wonder why.

Flyers are afraid of Russians, and they already have a carbon copy of Monahan in Couturier. The Flyers don't seem to often draft for need, but this was the really the perfect circumstances given the heavy volume of defenders in the 8-15 range this year.

EDIT: The one I'm surprised to not see is Ryan Pulock. I wasn't too high on him, but it's interesting that the Flyers didn't consider him to be among the top tier D prospects in this draft.

Awesome video. It's very cool to see these war room discussions. Much different on this level than any of the ones I've been in on. Further confirmation that this is the sort of thing I want to do as a career at some point.
