He's a shadow of his former self, but I thought Read looked better than he did last year. He was decent on the PK and actually won a few puck battles. He's still obviously the most overpaid forward on the team though.

He didn't do anything tonight, but it's still mind boggling that Raffl plays less than scrubs like Bellemare, Read, Cousins, and VdV.

To be fair it was pretty late & that's what might get Gudas in trouble there. I was more so laughing at such a fan like reaction by a media member. I don't follow him but the TSN guys retweet him into my feed a lot it's just hot takes for days from him & he's only been there with TSN for a short time now.

Still cannot believe the Rinaldo & Subban ones did not get suspensions... both times players injured on illegal hits... one where player left his feet, one where player extended elbow and hit head.

It was a clean hit that was maybe a millisecond or two late. Gudas finishes his checks. People need to accept this and move on.

True, but it was late, and Gudas needs to ease up to avoid taking unnecessary penalties even if they don't end up leading to a suspension.

BARELY late..lets not be too dramatic. You have a brief window after a player moves the puck to throw a hit..Gudas hit him JUST after that window. I dont think hes ever gonna change his game. He would have by now.

On one hand I agree, on the other hand Gudas needs to be smarter. He can't just hit everything that moves. It will get him in trouble and ultimately hurt the team.

I'm not saying he's a dirty player. I'm sure his hits have no intent to injure, but sometimes there are other options than going for a hit.

I hear you and Curu about being smarter but I dont think he is going to change.

How many games total do you think players have missed as a result of questionable hits from Gudas?

I bet it is in the single digits. Everything he does is overdramaticized.
