I was reinforcing your statement because Unseen didn’t watch the gm

I went back and watched the game. I was probably a bit harsh. It wasn't as bad as the highlights made it look. But it still wasn't pretty. That said, good teams find ways to win, which is what they did. On the whole, those two games were very impressive.

That assumption is doing a lot of heavy lifting.
Yes, which is why those teams pts percentages are slightly higher. But that is how standings with games back are calculated in other sports like baseball, football and basketball.

The bottom line is the is less of a gap to the teams in front of us than those behind us and the playoff cut line. The team is in really good shape.

Some team can always turn it around, but the standings in the east already look like there are 7 teams in good shape and probably four teams fighting for the last spot. Boston looks to be having the sort of season NJ had last year and if they don't kick it up soon they may find themselves slipping down the standings.

For some reason I’m still enjoying how pathetic Nashville has been. After hearing about how they’re possibly a contender this offseason from the media because they signed a couple of 34 year olds.

Them and Pittsburgh are probably the biggest jokes in the league this year relative to expectations.

The Pens were probably supposed to be a bubble team, but are a lottery team.

The Preds were supposed to be a playoff team but are a lottery team.

Everyone else who is bad was probably supposed to be at least almost as bad as they are.

Love seeing Detroit get shit canned
It would be a fun poll to guess first coach fired.

Lalonde has been in the front running all along, but Montgomery has picked up some steam lately. And of course Sullivan, but many Pens fans feel like he’ll never be fired.

Tristan Jarry gave up a goal on the first shot in 2 of 3 games he played earlier this season, before being sent down to the AHL for 2 weeks.

And then Jarry does it again in his first game back.

Nedeljkovic did it twice in 8 starts.

So it happened 5 times in 18 Pens games. It’s nice to see other teams suffer with this and we didn’t even start off this bad last season.

The first time this happened to us in 23-24 was on Dec 1st w/ Schmid vs Sharks.

The Pens really suck. I thought I'd feel happier about that than I do.
I never understood why with their old core they kept on adding more old players. It was obvious a couple of years ago that Malkin, Crosby and Letang have all lost more than just a step and the team wouldn't win anything any more.

To be fair, Crosby and Malkin have aged pretty well in terms of production, but their lack of footspeed has become painfully obvious. You don't want your franchise legends to go out with a whimper, but if you keep trying and failing to surround them with the right talent eventually the bottom is going to fall out, and it looks like it finally has for them.

I’ve watched some Lalonde interviews and he just does not give off the vibe of a guy who players respond to.
