The Red Wings (2008) and Blackhawks (2013) have both won the Stanley Cup as President's Trophy winners since then.

I am pretty sure we have more losses at home than we do on the road.


Still doesn't change the fact that finishing fourth gives you the best chance.

You should definitely bet a lot of money on that if you think those 3 wins in 20 years are actually predictive.

If I were to bet money on anybody winning the cup, it would be the Jets regardless of where they finish.

Also, unless you reach the ECF/WCF, you pick 28th in the draft if you win the president's trophy, not 30th.

I'd take that pick, and a statistically much greater chance of winning the Stanley Cup, over trying to pin-point what seed has seen the most success over a sample of 20 data points.

Ehlers would just skate down and do his big wind up slapper which is dumb against a goalie the size of Fedotov. Maybe should have tried Perfetti?
