Rangers lost because they noshowed defensively in the first and Henrik wasn't able to bail em out...it's the same crap that's been happening all season except Henrik wasn't God tonight.

Half this board criticizes Lundqvist nowadays. Just because he gave you warm and fuzzy memories you can't look at things objectively.
The problem is that you will claim he’s washed up the second he has a bad game and nevesis will claim every goal Lundqvist gives up is a laser and unstoppable. You are both on the complete opposite side of the spectrum and it’s annoying af.

Have you been watching over the past month? Serious question.

Because your comments read like someone who hasn’t watched much since the beginning of the year.

Someone else can get the exact stats but I’m pretty sure I’m his last 12 starts Hank was 9-2 and somewhere around 2.30 and .930%.

He improved and was great the last handful of games (well last game he wasn't as good as the previous ones) but I don't understand why I can't criticize a guy when he gives up 3 goals on 6 shots. Why is he beyond reproach?

I'll be one of the first to get on Lundqvist. He does not deserve all the blame for the 3-0 deficit. Regardless of how well he was playing, I don't "allow" for "bad nights", but tonight was not necessarily a "bad night". The first goal against was ridiculous with the bounces. The only bad goal was the third.

Well this is a pattern with him in his career. He improved on it somewhat in his 11-12 season and thereabout but he just ends up having some of the worst games of his career after great games or stretches. It's frustrating. It used to be that it didn't happen this quickly though.

There is a thing called fatigue. Look it up.

Getting older sucks. Lundqvist's best days are behind him for sure, and so the past couple of weeks were especially enjoyable for me to watch. Vintage performances. And I'll get to tell my kids one day that I saw him do it at the ripe age of 35 live.

Feel free to critique his play. Free world and all. I would just ask you to try to do it in a manner that is less miserable to read. We share this place and determine its vibe.

Well, that's a habit of his. When he has his off game he gives up untimely goals on his bad nights. If the one bad goal made it 1-0 you could say it was "just" one bad goal but when it almost certainly loses you the game at 3-0 it's a bigger problem than just one bad goal.

Most athletes do something bad, like giving up bad and untimely goals, on one of their bad nights. That’s why it’s called a bad night.

if youre gomma cherry pick after the fact as you seemingly do you can say that with any goalie. seems rather self servig to me

I thought we played well between when we went down 3-0 and tied it up. Especially considering we're missing our 1D and 1C, finding out about the later just prior to puck drop.

I don't think I'm being unreasonable though. I feel like people get pretty heated on this board when discussing every player they're upset with. I guess I don't understand why when I do it with Lundqvist it's a bigger deal. Hell, I JUST went off on Holden and no one said anything. And if you read my Holden post it was much more negative. I'm not trying to be overly negative and despite what people clearly think (and I've been told this and found it quite insulting) I'm not trying to troll. I'm just frustrated with the result and I think Lundqvist played a role in it. It's especially disappointing with how well he's been playing (of course I prefer that to him not playing well lately).

Yeah...you got a little lucky on the non-goal, and then a few of your first period goals were lucky as shit.

Goalie looks bad during an off night. More at 11.

Lundqvist should have taken a hint from Patrick Roy.

St. Patrick plays like dog shit one night everyone including the fans and his former team mate now coach shit on him, and then he got to go to a better and win cups with some fantastic players.

Boy did that bite both the habs and redwings in the ass for their respective deeds that faithful night.
