I come away from that game more mad about the Goodrow penalty than anything else.

I hate that we trot Jacob Trouba out there but he doesn't suck on purpose.

Goodrow, on purpose, put us shorthanded to act like a f***ing moron.

There’s some pairings in the franchise that are literally unbreakable.

Trouba/Miller and Mika/Kreider are the hockey equivalent of stuck-together 5 gallon buckets

I'm with you, but I'm at the point where I think splitting up Miller and Trouba just makes two bad pairs.

Miller is ass.
 
I give less shits about Miller/Tuba than I do about only having one decent line while everything else is the PP.

Whether people might agree and/or disagree that Miller and Schneider were decent, that can't be refuted at this point is that Miller and Schneider is better than Miller and Tuba.

You can think 20-93 is a bad duo and also acknowledge that Roslovic made the line demonstrably worse.

Both can be true.

Kreider is a top 10 goal scorer in the league and Zibanejad is a PPG center. A shitty team gave us Roslovic for nothing. The track records speak for themselves.

I don't know, call me old fashion but I like my defenseman to play some basic levels of defense. Right now Miller/Trouba are the iceberg and the Rangers are the titanic. Don't think I need a spoiler tag for what happens next.

You weren't seeing so many blown coverages, dumb icings, turnovers, whiffed hits with those 2 together than you are seeing now.

And I've been a vocal critique of Miller. Put Fox with Trouba and people will start souring on Fox.

And this takes away the carousel that has been the 3rd forward on that line, how?

We've put almost everyone there, we even tried breaking up the Bread line to help them generate more offense.

Lavy should have split the both of them long ago.

You're not wrong, it was an improvement.

It's just that, when we ran Miller-Schneider, we had an effective third pair that didn't have Trouba on it.

Miller-Schneider and Trouba farting on Gustafsson or Jones, like I said, just feels like two really bad pairs instead of one nuclear one.

I wouldn't not try it, I just wouldn't get my hopes up.

They were fine with Vesey. They weren't thrilling but they outscored opponents by a lot.

Kreider doesn't have a 5v5 goal since Noah built the arc and he's really good at that. I'm blaming Roslovic, sorry.
