Geez what happened to Othmann? 12 pts in 5 games vs Soo. So far nothing in 3 games vs Windsor.

Coaching, Owen Sound worked to limit Othmann, Windsor is doing the same. The Soo didn’t seem to care about him and he cashed in.

How significant was last nights game? Last night's come from behind 6-3 Firebirds victory was history making in the 53 year history of hockey in Flint. No Flint team who has sported jerseys in either minor professional hockey or junior hockey in the Vehicle City had come from behind of a 3-0 deficit in a playoff game and went on to win the game.

So, that was just another garbage ref’ed game. Really important for them to see that they can come back and hold Windsor off if need be. I think Flint’s a little more dinged up right now but the longer the series goes the better Flint’s chances. Savard tried to roll 3-4 lines once they were up 3-0 but Windsor can’t really do that and have success if Flint isn’t just falling apart (game 2). They need Johnston and Cuylle on the ice all the time. Friday will be packed and the ‘Birds need to come out banging at the start and either get the lead and maintain it or stay within one goal and that place will be rocking. They were forechecking hard and hitting last night in the offensive zone but their gap management and willingness to play the body in transition and the defensive zone was terrible. They have to finish every check against Johnston, Cuylle, Perrott, Henault, Maggio etc. I don’t expect Windsor to lay down in game 4 and Flint has to show the same intensity they had for most of game 3 or they’ll be in trouble quick. There’s only so much Cavallin can do. Onuska has played really good but he is prone to kicking out rebounds and losing his net occasionally and mishandling the puck. Just be on him and in his face.

149 tickets available for seats.

they must have waited until later than 1:30 to release the STH held seats. 40 of the 149 are already gone. They will have to sell standing room pretty soon.

"Windsor has seemingly responded well to Ls in playoffs.
Should be an exciting atmosphere the for the players on both teams.
I expect Flint sees alot of Spits first line. If I'm Savard I run em out early n often to start to try and force Flint into matchups and playing on their heels. Then adjust from there.
Flint can't get caught up running around trying to please the crowd looking for big hits. Take em as they come. Can't give em PPs or get outta position. I think Windsor has more leeway on the other side of that coin. JMO. They have trouble already in D zone positioning and have gotten passed it all year.
Hopefully lots of hard to play against, physical, clean hockey.
Going to try and tune in.
No predictions on the outcome, just hope it's a close battle n both tenders play well.
Big game but regardless of outcome series isn't over after tonight.
No softies n no ref issues would be great."

If I’m Ted Dent, the boys are watching a replay of Game 2 at some point today. They get a lead or a couple big hits or win a fight...that place is gonna be a terror dome. They come out flat though.... Windsor is gonna have their foot on the pedal from puck drop for sure.

I do care. If I didn’t live three hours away I would be there. Why cant you get that through your head? I would if I could. Of the handful of Flint fans who actually post here and haven’t been scared away yet, never ever move away, . Tonight is going to be a donny-brook! I will be watching. This series is causing a good deal of angst among opponent fan bases and within their own fan bases Passion n sensitivities everywhere. Can't imagine if goes 7

The Catch 22’s. We’ll all piss and moan when attendance isn’t as good as we know it should be then 1,500 non-regulars show up. Parking can be a madhouse, people wandering all over during play (my personal pet peeve), drunk fans, longer bathroom/concession lines, exiting post game etc. I’ll take the latter but it can get frustrating. I also hate constant “shoot the puck!!!” From the point. With 1:30 left on the PP. With no screen or traffic. With nobody in position for a rebound. I just hope there’s a lot of loud “LUUUUUUKE” chants tonight and zero “Ref. You suck”s.
