Thanks, probably the 5th or 6th team to say we have the best fans and everyone loves coming here. Hope you enjoyed yourself tonight.
“Everyone loves coming here”? Sure looked like it. What did you have like 500-1000 fans on a Saturday night on overage night with a top team in the conference? We get more than that on a Monday night as a basement team. Our fans are nowhere as rude to the opposing team and fans, but hey, that’s the world we live in today.

2959 still need that tissue?

Been to Erie, and had the pleasure of hearing their version of "Sweet Caroline"
That’s all in good nature. Hurling f-bombs at the players, coaches, and fans while banging on the visitors glass. I get there will always be a few drunkards, but never seen such poor fan behavior in any OHL arena. These players are young men who are 16-21 year olds trying to make it in hockey and you all act like they are grown men playing for the Stanley Cup.

Is that a record for a Saturday night for a playoff team celebrating their overagers?
Well it's roughly 80% of capacity and it is a long way from "500-1000" so if you want to keep coming here to insult and defame people that never did a thing to you or your team other than steal their lunch money in nearly every meeting just keep on showing your butt. I will not lower myself and go be a knucklehead in your thread. Do you really think Flints knucklehead glass bangers hang out here? Pretty sure Erie's don't hang out on HFBoards (we know Erie has them too just like every OHL venue does)

You must have just started watching the OHL. Welcome to becoming a fan of a team in the league.

I've seen plenty worse, and you will to over time.

All teams have a few of those fans. I wonder what you and the Otters did to antagonize them? The low attendance is probably down to one of two things. 1. They’re saving the money for playoff tickets. Not sure if you remember what that’s like being from Erie or 2. How many times can you beat Erie in a season before it becomes boring and you save your $ for a real team to show up?

Before you go off spouting that Otter fans are the greatest in the world, please look at yourselves. I have had the honor to visit many arenas in mostly the western conference. Flint, Saginaw, Sarnia, Windsor, Kitchener, London, Niagara, Mississauga, Hamilton and Erie. Every arena has it's fans that spouts off. Even in your arena. In fact, I took my daughter to two games at your arena this year. We were greeted one night by one of your fan's flicking off the Flint team as they went on the ice. Not only at the beginning of the game but between periods as well. It was so blatant that even your own ushers saw it. He was escorted upstairs and from what I was told got scolded by your police chief.

Erie County, that supposed beautiful mecca, has the same county poverty rate as Genesse County.

Erie’s cool. It’s a decent place. It has its spots and it has its spots. Like Flint or pretty much every city. Like Flint I’m sure it’s got it’s idiot fans too. It just cracks me up when people point out stuff like that as if it never happens in their arena. It happens in every arena. They should just be glad it’s not 1989 and REAL Slapshot moments don’t happen in the stands and the parking lot anymore.
