In the NHL for sure.
We did find out that the victim was pressing charges from the very start and cooperating even through today.Westhead coming in with the question of if LPD has found themselves wanting in their initial investigation.
Didn't Formenton get into a fight on the ice in practice with a teammate in the Swiss league about this? I would think there will be a lot of teams who won't go near these guys, NHL or other.

I'm a fan of HC Ambrì-Piotta. I don't recall such a fight tbh. (I'm getting old though, lol)Didn't Formenton get into a fight on the ice in practice with a teammate in the Swiss league about this? I would think there will be a lot of teams who won't go near these guys, NHL or other.
well, what exactly are you expecting? They aren't going to lay out the evidence. Probably just going to confirm the investigation was re opened and 5 people are incustody/charged. Thats it. Id be surprised if the police gave out more than we already know.I’m prepared to be disappointed.
London Police are going to get absolutely roasted as they should. It reeks like the pd tried to cover for the boysLondon PD with a bit of heat - deservedly - for how they initially handled this. Westhead's follow-up points to more issues there that folks local to London should be concerned about.
I watched a video of a lawyer who practices in the London area. He predicted the case gets thrown out because the courts are so backlogged and he questions whether the charges were laid due to public and political pressure on the police or not.Dont be surprised if they get away with it. The law is for the rich and those players have the best lawyers money can buy.

No way that could happen now with all the attention the case is gettingI watched a video of a lawyer who practices in the London area. Either that or just completely lacked followup on potential leads or sources of information.London Police are going to get absolutely roasted as they should. It reeks like the pd tried to cover for the boys

I've been following this story, and this thread pretty carefully. I just want to say thanks to everyone who has been sharing links to relevant info, legal information, and maybe most importantly, the overall discussion from everyone being had here. Things don't change unless people make them change. And a big part of that is a real and honest conversation among those of us who watch or play hockey. And those who are willing to confront the larger cultural issues involved. Hats off to everyone who is here to learn, discuss, care, and hopefully change what happens in the world around us. Even if that sometimes means working through some discomfort on the terrible issue of SA, and disagreement/critique of how it plays out in the legal system. Respect.
wow... he is blaming the media for this?
That's how it happened in the Nassar case at US Gymnastics. Head of the organization offered the FBI agent a cushy gig and it was swept under the rug.I expect this shit will slide uphill to whoever from HC was involved - the person who was contacted by LPD and then let the players know.
OMG "IT'S BECAUSE OF VIDEOS".
THAT'S NOT YOUR f***ING JOB TO COMMENT ON THAT
