Just banning any information about players getting indefinite leave of absences just seems bizarre.

Like on the same day that 5 players from the WJC team were told to turn themselves in, 3 players from that team were granted a leave of absence. I don’t think there’s much speculation there to connect the two dots.

So, do any of the alleged players have the right to not take a leave of absence and continue playing during an ongoing investigation? Can a player maintain their presumption of innocence and continue playing until proven otherwise?

While there is nothing that says they have to take a leave of absence should they be charged I’m sure the team would suspend them at that point regardless until things are resolved one way or another.
