Eh, they got a fluky goal off a blind shot that wasn't anybody's fault. We dominated that game from pretty much start until they pulled the goalie.

Yeah I think that’s about as one-sided a possession game as you can get in the NHL. Seemed like we had the puck the whole damn time.

Gotta have have the home player there, I guess. Odd that that the losing goalie gets better billing than the winning one, though..
I think if they can sustain that kind of energy and the patience with the puck (even in the d-zone), then they have a chance. I feel like that part is going to be consistent.
I just hope the relentless movement and pushing in the o-zone will make the difference between battling for 8th and Really Being A Good Team

The "official" three stars are always funny to look at. Strome was the second star for the Edmonton game.
We keep playing like this game, we will win some games. Best game so far for Darling. Best game so far for defense as a whole. Best game so far for the 4th line...and that's saying a lot as they have been good. This was also Williams best game. Skinner looked like Skinner from last March. Staal was good. Just need Aho to start potting some and Rask to get back from whatever garbage dump he took up residence in.

As long as this team keeps playing this way they're going to be dangerous this year. Easily could have taken the 2 in Winnipeg or vs Columbus, 7 points in 5 games with 2 wins on the road in 3 attempts is about as good as it gets for a Canes start. There's little reason not to believe this team can't get in this year, and we've seen what defensive based teams can do in the playoffs when they get hot.

As good as the start has been, we havent even been playing that great. This game was definitely the best, but we could use more finish (and i think d has even more potential). I feel like the potential is even higher but maybe im just drunk lol

I'm glad we won a game against a quality team. Going forward, I would feel much more comfortable with a scoring center. We still are generating consistent offense down the middle.
