It's very obvious this team has checked out.

Management screwed up the Trouba situation off season alienating the team captain.

The Zib thing again has been handled incorrectly giving him a pass for lousy effort all season.

Then they throw CK under the bus. Trying to trade him and everyone else all while looking foolish, reactive and out of control.

Laviolette has lost the room and now your 12 mil + goalie can't stop anything.

I expect something will happen this week. Things are getting worse and we're at the 1/4 mark. The Oil did it last year saved the season and ended up in the SCF.

Dumpster fire nightly isn't gonna play well much longer.

It’s gotta be Coach Q if they are making a change at coach. I will keep banging the drum that they need a major upgrade on defense if they want to turn it around.

You almost have to fire lavy just to salvage any chance of winning a cup in a year where that is the only option. It isn't fair and fk these players for costing another coach his lively hood, but you kick that can to this summer, remember these players who are un coachable and do a firesale. IDC if they make it to game 7 of the SCF, these dudes need to not be here next fall.

There's nothing to salvage.

The Letter was the beginning of this era of Rangers hockey.

That Trouba/Kreider email Drury sent is going to signal the end of it lol.
The letter doesn't even feel that long ago. Too bad these guys couldn't get it done because as much as I don't like a lot of them now, we had some fun. Was at game 2 last year against Florida with some family and I'll cherish that memory forever. Oh well, all good things must come to an end.

realistically, there’s only a handful of moves you can make at this point. A big trade is just not gonna happen.

Maybe you move a guy that will be easier to trade, but I don’t see how that addresses any of the problem areas.

You could fire the coach but going on your third coach in 24 months is kind of crazy. And I’m not even sure there’s an upgrade coach out there at the moment.

And if you bring in Quenneville you’re inviting a whole other shit storm along with him. I almost wanna see Drury hire Quenneville just so we can see how Drury handles the fire storm that ensues and inevitably blows up in his face.

On the other hand…

Weird thing is that 6 of the next 7 games are against (mostly) sub-500 teams. On paper at least, there’s the opportunity to “seize the moment” maybe go 5 and 2 at least.

They’ll need some kind of momentum, as 7 of the 9 games after that are against the top teams across the league.

On the other other hand, it’s well possible they’re out of the race and the season is essentially over come January 11, 2025.

I want 10 more losses in a row to kick off the fire sale. f*** their Christmas.
Well they have a pretty easy schedule next 4 games against losing teams so don't get your hopes up too quickly. Mind you, after that they couls go on a lengthy losing streak.
