I'm not fan of Colliton but how much is on the players? Should Toews, Kane, Jones, Murphy, MAF, ect. need the coach to give them a rah-rah speech to get them going?

Folks I am sad. Had JC stayed in Rockford for a few more seasons he could have turned into an interesting coach. This organization can’t draft or develop for shit. Players and coaches included

i wish I had the pettiness to go look up all of those posters that said him taking over in November he’d simply need more than 6 months to implement his system and that was the problem

Yes Stan needs to go, spending money is not everything, you need to get the most out of every dollar, Stan spends stupidly, he took on Johnson Amd his horrendous 5 million dollar contract and he’s useless. Shaw is dead cap, Connolly dead cap. Strome dead cap, Dehaan dead cap, Kurashev, khaira, Stillman, Murphy all meh players, Fleury looos meh, goalies don’t win you championships team defence does, the team is slow. Stan is a failure and the funny thing is that he thought this team was a contender and that’s why he just sold the future. This guy is completely useless, this coach isn’t much better but even a great coach can only take you to playoffs and out first round best case scenario but I doubt it this is not a playoff team with any coach.
I watched them a couple times so far and he looks very solid. It’s early but he looks more like the bubble Keith and less like the guy we have seen with lapses the past few years

Hilarious how the last few Colliton defenders can't even point to something good that he does, their only argument is that it's just that every single player they've brought in to the ever changing roster over the last 4 years isn't good enough or smart enough to play his mystical system.
There's just nothing you can point to with this guy that suggests he's an NHL caliber coach at this point in time.
I wanted to be right about. I was in favor of moving on from Q and was excited to see what JC could do. Like I said a couple pages ago in this thread, it was evident to most of us over 1.5 years ago that he doesn't have it. Why is he still here?

I'm not going to say it's all on him, but I have nothing to defend him with.
It’s very comparable to when Krause groomed and hired that guy out of Iowa State to replace a hall of fame coach, and everyone could see the Iowa state guy sucked (can’t remember his name), but Krause’s ego let the guy flounder for two years past the point where everyone else could clearly see the writing on the wall.

Of course it is reactionary. We have a 3-game sample size. With the playoff-or-bust moves made this offseason and the depth of the Central, the Hawks cannot afford to get off to a terrible start. If the Hawks have not turned things around by 10-15 games, Colliton should be replaced to turn around the season.
