There was no way that defense would hold up for all 60 minutes

This was the key. The American forecheck was too much for this Finnish defence. Nothing to do with speed , they couldn’t keep up behind the goal line.

I am not sure what game some people watched there, but for the 1st half of the game Finland looked even slightly better.
The basically lost when tried to play more open hockey then their typical defensive style. Should have stayed with their game.

The stats dont line up with that. USA scoring chances were 13-6 when the game was tied 1-1. Also USA had more puck possession. The tied score was due more to bad bounces than Finland playing well.

I hear ya, but the fact is that Finland isn't icing a better team. That's not a knock, it's just the fact of the matter. USA has the best team this tourney, and I believe that they'll will win it and it won't be close. That's not putting down the other teams (maybe Canada), that's just how it is at this moment is history.
