I figured it out.
Minutes on the PP are the easy minutes. They are saving their best players for the harder minutes 5-on-5. It's a bold plan, and I'm not sure it's the best plan, but there it is.
Finland have not been as impressive as I would have thought so far
Well 3/4 of the team are really bad players don't expect much.Finland have not been as impressive as I would have thought so far
I think if we are sleeping on anyone as fans here it might be Sweden. They might be slipping under everyones radar because of their particular circumstances but it's still Sweden.I know you don’t. You’re a knowledgeable guy with our international opponents as well.
They’re a lot like Canadians in many respects. Finns are tough, resilient, and proud people a lot like we are. They’re a major hockey power and should never be underestimated at any level.
They’ve got their own Finnish “sisu” built into their culture which is similar to our heart and soul type of hockey we love. If we have a fighting breath within us, it’s never over.
I think whoever gets them in the Quarters (assuming we win — which is never an assumption we should make with the Finns) from the other side likely the Americans or Swedes should be very nervous playing them. I anticipate them “upsetting” one of those teams.
Swiss powerplays from previous years would be able to make them pay. Just not enough talent this time
He passed the guy an empty netter, what the f*** do you mean just shoot?Just shoot there Heinola!
It's not Heinola's fault that Hirvonen cant score an empty netJust shoot there Heinola!
Yeah, but the shot opportunity was a obvious choice imho since it was a textbook scoring position and with the clock running out aswell.Tbf it was a tap in goal![]()
