Hope so. Nothing I want more is to see norwegian players taking further steps, and hopefully take the step in to the best league in the world... We do have some talent these days. Lots of work need to be done, but we are closer. Beating Denmark on sunday will definitely help.
Well, as a supporter of Denmark, I can’t say I agree.

Norway has ruined the party for Denmark enough allready:laugh::naughty::popcorn:

All I keep hearing tho, from Norwegians even, is that Norway is on a downward slope.

We are always complaining, and comparing Norwegian hockey with the major-power situation for all other winter-sports. But there is hope. Zucc is doing his job of showing it is possible, and we have possible new NHL-players in the pipeline.

Lets hope we get a good game where the team that deserve it gets the win then...

About the norwegian players and downfall/upgrades. The thing is that it is not all that many years since hockey got fully into the norwegian model for development and team sports. They have been behind handball and football (individual) for ages, but since then, more money has been funneled in. From 2019 they also decided to cut down on the number of foreign players in the national league. Which has led to players like Lilleberg, Kåsastul, Holm etc getting chances and development they would have missed out on.

I would give it four years tops before we have several more players drafted to the nhl. That may of course not make the national team better right now, but in the future... Getting to the Olympics will speed up the process in some degree. Especially when seeing the shift of style, mentality and tactics I have seen of late. Norway is actually fun to watch these days, at least when you compare it to four years ago. Which is a good sign indeed.

Development is a slow and sturdy process. In which you Danes probably know all about? Nevertheless, I hope to see our teams being able to challenge the big two in scandinavia in the near future, and with stability and steps in the right direction. Not luck and coincidences...

Zucc is the main contributor indeed. He is not only a very good hockey player, but he stands for values and opinions that norwegians relate heavily to. But lets not forget, and duly note, that the players and the teams are in general getting more and more attention internationally these days. Trending in the right direction...

Weakest group by far.

Denmark beat France 8-2 last week.

And Italy and Hungary are weak as hell.

Latvia will for sure qualify, but wouldn’t put too much into that 15-0
gd.
Exhibition games aren't a measure of anything. That 8-2 means about as much as the number of goals scored against team Latvia so far.

France would arguably be the 2nd-ranked team in all other groups. They're roughly on par with Norway.

Italy and Hungary are bums, but then again most teams are. Most of the other favorites seem to be struggling agāinst them though.

So, yes, the 15-0 obviously means something. For one, that team Latvia is clearly superior and that we're the heavy favorites, which is what you said. So I'm not sure what your point is.

The way that the seeding is done, one could augmenting that it is the weakest group as it has the weakest top team, at least from a seeding perspective.
You could also augmenting that the Belorussia, because their second seed is the worst, or is that France?
You could also look at the third team that would have the best chance to Qualifying, right.

I can guaranty that Denmark-Norway is going to become a local game.
They loves and hate each other.

It will not necessary be the best team that win that game. (Who ever the best team of them is).

You know, "I love my Brother, that why I beat him".
But "Don't touch my brother....."

I think Denmark have been the better team in this group so far. Ehlers and Bjorkstrand gives Denmark the edge. Aside from them it's quite equal. I hope Patrick Thoresen is back on sunday from injury. He is a player that can carry a whole line on his shoulders.

I'm also quite impressed by our new young backs Krogdahl, Kaasastul and Lilleberg both in WC and this tournament. It's nice to see those young backs already fill in well for more experienced Bonsaksen and Holøs. It's vital to have good backs.

I actually think Denmark are still better player by player without Bjork and Nik - Admittedly I am biased and know little of the younger Norwegian players.

However, as a team, Norway are better.

Not sure we have been better tho, I mean yeah, we hammered a poor Korea, but we were awful against Slovenia.

I think Denmark are better and will win.

I think France is not very good without Auvitu and would be 3rd in any other group. Latvia has the easiest group by far.

Watching Denmark building up is just like watching Maple Leafs with their never ending blind pass backwards to the next player. Everyone know its coming including Norway.

Judging from the five minutes I watched, DK seems to need the break the most. Hope we're able to adjust and regroup, looks like the Norwegian players are more ready and physical. Has it been like that all period?

The refs need to get a grip on this game.

Norway getting away with waaay
too much.

And the Danes look scared to give back, as the refs will probably punish them.

The Norwegians with a very physical approach is working for them.

And damn they are a bunch of busy bees, can Norway keep up that tempo?

We had more SOG I think, and the puck most in the first 10.

But are disrupted by some very physical play, and some that should have been penalized.

We aren’t showing the same energy, Dahm looks shaky, and our passing has been sloppy as f***.

The Norwegians have always had this ability to play 10-20% above their level, especially against Denmark.

Can’t see us beating Norway like this.
