to put up 200 points a year in the OHL.

In the playoffs he had 16pts in 10 games.
In a 68 game season that would be 109 pts.
I had 54.5% accuracy.
In the USA you become president with 51%. I gave you better accuracy than a US president's approval rate.

For a player that 98% of the fanbase had no idea about, and most were crying for Kulich i think i did a pretty good job at assessing his potential.

I make my predictions very early so that you can't say i am using hindsight. I get shitted on because of it but in the end... i am always right :), or close.

Ah @Bombshell11 is great! At least he’s not hateful and sour.

Hyperbolic? Sure. But whatever.

Too bad Mesar got injured. I do think he’s had some bad luck. He’s had some great stretches. There’s a damn skilled player in there. I don’t know if he can ultimately crack our line up though. He’d really have to show some sustained brilliance sooner than later.

Looks like Mešár will be brewing slowly, but I still believe he is a future NHLer. Hopefully, next year Laval gets rid of some smallish players like Farrell, RHP, maybe even ABB and Kidney. This should create more opps for Mešár. Once his ELC finishes, he could be in NHL. He has the tools, skating, IQ and he is clutch.

Agree with you 100% on this.

Development isn't linear, look at Connor McMichael this season for the Caps after years of not really making the most of his opportunities.

While I've never been much of a Mesar fan dating back to the poor work ethic he showed for the Kitchener Rangers in his D+1, he still possesses some "+" tools even by big league standards and could make something of himself in the NHL yet.

The Rocket this year have been pretty much a grinding team that play a defense-first type of game with depth throughout the lineup and no offensive stars.

After his injury Mesar hasn't looked as good as he did earlier in the season, but he's still moving well on the ice, setting-up plays for his teammate. His talent hasn't disappeared though some will look at his statline since returning and start drawing hasty conclusions without proper context.

Those same detractors of Mesar's are not wrong on everything though; it's probably fair to say at this point that Mesar hasn't so far lived-up to the first-round pick we used to draft him. We can probably all agree on that given what he's shown in the three years since the draft.

But there's still tons of time left for Mesar to prove us wrong.

Give Mesar a little more seasoning in the pro leagues, some focused training in the offseason, a bit of development here or there, and who knows, he could be really good for us down the line.

Then there's also the fact that Mesar would likely have very little value in trade right now as a smallish offensive winger not performing great in the AHL in his D+3. So that basically means that we are "stuck" with Mesar until he either busts completely and we don't re-up his contract, or makes something of himself.

And I, for one, am hoping that the latter scenario ends up happening.

Always been quietly bullish on Mešár. Bet on talent, people.

He's near-worthless as a trade asset anyway.

He might have a good playoff. Be important for Laval. If we can get overvalue for a forward at deadline. allows us to call up a Beck or Roy type without hurting either team

Yup, let him develop in piece. We all know the chances he becomes an impactful NHL player is low. Laval can use him so let it be.

As a late first rounder, it's hard to say he hasn't lived up to his draft status. Few at that rank make a splash at the NHL level, period, never mind as 21 year olds.

Decent pick but doesn't appear to be working out. It happens but the key is we are not missing every draft like before.

Since 2022-2023 to me he was a bust. I can't imagine develop an effective nhl player when the player is 5 ft 9 and is producing less than the point per game on a junior league. It doesnt work at 99%

He can go back to Slovakia or any other places in Europe. We won’t miss him.

I actually think that Mysak, that they traded for Jacob Perreault last season, is an overall better competitor than him.

I remember the Tuch Mysak when they got drafted.

Mysak may never get an NHL point.

I hope Tuch does.

I think Farrel is just too small and soft, but at least he’s producing. The other 2 aren’t doing much of anything.

This was the lineup last game:

Farrell - Condotta - Barre-Boulet
HarveyPinard - Beck - Roy
Davidson - Xhekaj - Mesar
Kidney - Beaucage

Farrel on the first PP

Not saying Mesar is not struggling but can we compare apples with apples? When was the last time Mesar played on the first line or first PP ?

He played well the first few games, then got hurt but he never got an opportunity to showcase his talent with the best players of the team like everyone else did. He's the only one not getting any opportunities. I remember in one of the pre-season games he din't even get a shot at the 3v3 OT.... but was used on the SO? Make it make sense..

Me no comprende
