Maybe if the fans cease their annoyingly mocking singing the few times we're in the lead the hockey gods may give us a pass.
So true but the mocking goes well beyond that. I never felt the need to throw stones since we've been so bad ourselves.
Sure I can't help laugh at the Leafs annual post season melt down but it's non stop here.
It's like it's become a coping mechanism (I refuse to use made up words)
I don't like it much just as I don't like using other team's players and problems as a measuring stick for what we are working with.

I've lived a long life and found to my distress that Karma, like reality, is a bitch.

This isn't true at all.

His first season he was on fire, went to the WJC and was on fire there, then came back and was relatively cold.

Last year, he was on fire, went to the WJC and was even better, noted he didn't want to be cold coming back from the WJC but suffered an injury quickly after and went cold, then the playoffs hit and he was a beast.

He only had lulls after the WJC both years, he didn't just put up points for a few games and f*** off.
Not to get all ‘ackshually’ but I feel like he cooled off pretty quick in his first year after a red hot start that didn’t last long.

Right about the 2nd season. Much more sustained great play

Thats when he was playing on the third after Denis left

The most important thing is how he finished up his year which was great given his team.

Can't be, you goto to be wrong. Bombshell just posted 4 points in his first game. Could of had 8. Then they sabotaged him. In favour of Pinelli. Finished less than ppg.

As a Rangers seasoned ticket holder I can wholeheartedly state your comment is completely false.

Ugh, that sucks. I guess luckily its not the entire season?! Heal up buddy.
Mesar had 4 points first game. Finished with 51 in 52 games. How is that not tailing off? Soft as he is he needs to rip it up to get in our top 6. He's useless in bottom 6.

If you don't know what you talking about don't post bogus posts.

I'm uninformed about Mesar?!?! I've literally seen him play over 100 games, live & in person, lol

You need to stop assessing players with only hockeydb as your source. Had you any clue about Mesar's 2 years in Kitchener you would not be saying the things you are, especially with reference to the 2022-23 season, when Kitchener was a complete shit show, from the bench, to the ice, all the way to management.

Pinelli, 185 cm / 6'1" 185 lb. Tall, Fast, North-South player, 90 pts in the OHL. Best player for kitchener

Where is he now?

Terrible management of a 1st rounder

This last call up has got to stink

From Stu Cowan:

"Is there a future for Filip Mesar on the Habs? Does he still have value on the trade market? Paul O on X — @nanerc_paul

It’s still too early to determine what the future might hold for Mesar, who turned 21 on Jan. 3. Mesar, selected in the first round (26th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft, got off to a good start as an AHL rookie this season, posting 1-4-5 totals in his first five games before suffering a lower-body injury that sidelined him for almost two months. He has now played 17 games with the Rocket and has 2-6-8 totals.
Mesar is one of 10 players selected in the first round of the 2022 draft who have yet to play a game in the NHL. Only 17 first-round picks from that year have played more than 20 games in the NHL. The Canadiens’ Juraj Slafkovsky, selected first overall, leads all players from that draft with 165 NHL games. As for Mesar’s trade value, alone it wouldn’t be very much at this point, but he could be made part of an attractive package deal. There are reasons why Mesar was drafted as high as he was. He definitely has talent."

Probably get a late 3rd/4th.

So he has 3 points in 12 games since coming back from injury and therefore since he hasn't been called up with those numbers, he's being managed terribly?

Maybe it would be better for his development to get his game back with the greater ice time he'll get in Laval versus riding the pine in MTL?

Regardless of everything else, Mesar needs to torch the AHL in order to warrant an NHL future. The call up doesn't even matter as he was never a part of the 2025 plans. His production needs to improve.

Perhaps Mesar can get more opportunities with Roy being injured and RHP called up.

Picard is shorter and weaker than Mesar, has less pts per game, has only 5 pts in the last 13 games (was not injured) vs 4pts from Mesar (coming off an injury) who's playing 3rd line minutes and no PP almost.

What are we talking about here... ?

Clearly they're doing this on purpose, they're probably never going to give him any chances this year to teach him rispek... its so obvious.

Its unfortunate... we're the ones losing at the end. They sabotaging a 1st rounder because of their incompetence.

It's only 13 games. We'll see how Pascal Vincent handles Mesar going forward...

I get it however he's not getting any opportunities to torch the league. When he had 5pts on 5 he was still not being used on the first PP wave.. Beck was.

Beck is sometimes double shifting PP and then regular line minutes then Mesar is playing with an exhausted center. This is not really an environement to flourish...

Ehh, not sure its a Vincent Initiative though.

I think we'll trade him this summer in a package deal for a better player

His inclusion won't have much impact on the package but GMs love hiding their disappointing prospects in big trades

Vincent would be wise to give that entire line PP2 I'm seeing signs they are starting to find each other again.
One thing I don't like is the dump in to possession ratio Mesar is far better with a puck on his stick than chasing it. Still seeing way too many stretch passes going nowhere IMO.
