ill be honest you got me lol
Hah! I think your Mesar stance is well known at this point, was just having fun.

He is looking great. I almost wish it was next September as there’d be a lot more room on the roster, but I’m happy to let all the kids looking good at camp develop in their respective leagues next year. Quietly hoping him and Slaf start in Laval together as they adjust to North American ice.

Slaf and Mesar haven't played together since the first game of rookie tournament. I understand the rationale to see what they can do away from each other, but if they are both in Laval this year, they should definately play together.

Why not a pre season game with a Slaf-Beck- Mesar line ?
Because it is more interesting to see how they can do with NHLers on their lines than to stick them together as if they were trying to see if guys who won't play in the NHL can develop chemistry.

Quickly becoming a favorite prospect of mine. Didn’t know much about him admittedly but also didn’t really have an issue with the pick. I see a bit like Marner to be honest. Similar style - very skilled and slick. He’s still a ways away though I think. I think he can do minimum 2 years before going the habs. Either both in AHL or one one OHL and one in AHL. I think physically he Would get overwhelmed by an 82 game schedule against bigger players. Be patient with him - 2 years will do him wonders I think.

Why not send him to Europe? When was the last time MTL truly developped a young European prospect in their system?

yeah but we haven't had much luck in the euro leagues either. Only Lehkonen comes to mind.

I'm willing to give this org's development team a chance. I think honestly CHL would be best but I haven't really seen him much.

Has he been really that good to bypass juniors? That's a really big step.

I agree with you and I certainly can add Beck on your comment. Beck have show that he can be a very good 3C with top 6C potential.
Im calling it. Worst case he is the reincarnation of Dougie Jarvis.

Keep in mind. Who the hell am I ?

It'd be stupid to send him to the OHL so he can develop a year of bad habits. He's too good. Send him the AHL. This kid is absolute fire. He'll be the best player in the Laval by mid season.

That good eh? Awesome. Not bad for a late 1st rounder. God this draft could be huge for us
