He needs a year in the OHL IMO. There is no incentive to rush him at all.

And frankly being AWAY from his friend would do a ton of good to Juraj.

Yeah, i get that it’s good to have a friend with you but Mesar said in an interview that Juraj helps him and show him how to live alone and everything, not so sure it’s Slaf’s job to take care of him.

They both need to be put in the sink or swim grinder to know if they can make it alone, and spark that development. The OHL will be filled with habs prospects, Beck, Rohrer, and it's not like the 2 friends won't talk -a bit of separation makes for greater learning next year. They'll be more mature when reunited and this will only be a plus for both of them when they are 25.

I'm always suspicious of bad habits between brothers and friends....

Slaf has been alone since he’s like 14 years old though, he lived in Czech Republic and then got to Finland.

True. You need a lot of things to become a good [whatever], but one of those things is space, room to grow, ''runway'' whatever you want to call it.

That's why Slaf is more mature than Mesar - but Slaf needs to learn the NA pro game this year. This is a lot of learning, he needs space again.
Are they dating or something?
They’re good buddies and it’s cool they were drafted by the same team, but I don’t think they’re co-dependent on eachother.

I think they will both be fine regardless of where they both play.

Who was more ready Galchenyuk or Mesar now?

Mesar for me
Fair statement.....................one big difference.............we used to have a clown running the show back then.
Galchenyuk was rushed............KK was rushed............don't think this kid will be. We now have people who have vision, and this kid is part of the future for sure, but maybe, just not now.
It;s all good...

I'm fine with developing Mesar at center and I hope he will grow into that position. But, I'll still say it: he's looked more damgerous and involved on RW. Yeah, small sample size...

I get it, I get it. Center, more valuable, more versatile, can always move back to wing, more puck touches, etc.

But... I want him to develop offense first and foremost, not responsibility. I hope the coaches will tell him to be more aggressive in the O-zone and not always hang back as the 3rd man, and then quickly peel back as soon as possession is lost. He's been doing a lot of that at center, whereas he was aggressively retrieving pucks and making plays as a winger.

I don’t recall you saying any of this.
