Small sample size, but I prefer Mesar on RW vs. C. He can generate more offense from the wing with less defensive responsibilities.
Ya, same. He can be a Marner type on the wing. At center he’ll have less room to go off script.Small sample size, but I prefer Mesar on RW vs. C. He can generate more offense from the wing with less defensive responsibilities.

How are we going to lose him? Also, even if he had a choice to play elsewhere in the NHL, I doubt he’d even consider it.Damn you guys see, this guy has to play in the NHL or the very least AHL otherwise we might lose him. What I understand from this is that he wants to play againts men, not babys

Kirby Dach : Am I a Joke to you?I think he’s more a winger but he gives me Marner vibes a bit. Smaller, good skater, very skilled…
Give me Fantilli next year baby!!!
Slafkovsky, Suzuki , Caufield, Fantilli, Mesar is a solid 5!! Only need 1-2 more of our forward prospects to hit at the very least
Even if his next team almost exclusively plays Mesar at C, is it such a bad thing?Small sample size, but I prefer Mesar on RW vs. C. He can generate more offense from the wing with less defensive responsibilities.
Nothing wrong with that. He'll just have more versatility. I'm just saying he was more dangerous and involved when he played RW during the rookie tournament.Even if his next team almost exclusively plays Mesar at C, is it such a bad thing?
We’ve seen time and again how Cs can easily play the wing but rarely vice versa.
@montreal Anything to say about Brynas? Don't know much about SHL teams, but you said that Rogle was a nice destination for prospects. Curious to hear your thoughts on this one.
Not a bad thing to swing at. Most can play wing if they are just good. The habs need at least one more really good C, ideally better and bigger than Suzuki. They need a defensive center, but they have some options coming along.Dach was the first big swing (sacrificing Romanov) at getting another good C. I'm sure HuGo are still in that batters box and eagerly, yet patiently, waiting for the next pitch they like.
Danault was a keeper. But losing him for nothing was a nice piece that led to Bergevin's demise, the new managment group and a proper rebuild. Not a bad thing to swing at. Should have made Danault captain and kept him in the ‘80s snd ‘90s tradition of having a third line captain.

I get what you're saying, but I actually thought he had more puck time as a winger because he was a lot more involved in puck battles and didn't hang back.I think he is a winger in the NHL for sure but I would prefer him playing center while developing as it simply means that he will have the puck on his stick alot more.
Great, another song I have to put back into my rotation.
Please god no SHL where he plays 5 mins a game or bounces up and down from there to allsvenskan or gets injured.
I don't despise the idea. I just think it's better if he's here, getting more accustomed to the North American style of play. Also having him close, so it's easier for management to monitor his progress.yeah tell Rogle

Am I the only one who despises this idea? sure sure correlation doesn't equal causation but the European leagues have done nothing for us. Just Lehkonen but his O game was all but gone when he came here. And yes refer back to the preceding statement but the Euro leagues and us just don't mix. CHL please.
