I like Farrell, but Mesar just seems to have a better overall profile and is only 18. Farrell like Roy are more likely to be PP specialists than true top 6ers IMO. Mesar profiles as a legit 2nd line winger IMO.i also see Mesar making our top 6 do you have him being better then Farrell ?
Dare i say it... the new bicep club?Yup.
Green line test don't lie, Mesar is the Alpha.

I know people who don’t train and have muscular legs. They’re just blessed with good genes. There is no correlation about being hardworking and how Mesar’s legs look, unless one is directly established.Yeah his legs, that's very impressive. That's confirm he is a hardworker... and with his high talent, this guy can be a really good one for Habs.
He's 100% a hardworker on the ice, great motor too. I really like his game, he seems determined.I know people who don’t train and have muscular legs. They’re just blessed with good genes. There is no correlation about being hardworking and how Mesar’s legs look, unless one is directly established.
Ya, my point is more I just don’t see him having legit top 6 production 5on5. I think he’ll be a useful player, just not a guy who produces a ton 5on5. Do think he could be a dynamite PP guy though.Farrell was one of the more relied upon forwards for defensive play/PK by the USA in both the Olympics and World Championships. Dude will play anywhere.

I'm hopeful about him. He, Caufield and who knows, maybe Hutson are why Hugo are populating the roster with players combining skill and size when available. If all three graduate and are well surrounded, they could all be difference makers. Perhaps Mesar if makes a strong case for a roster spot as well.Farrell was one of the more relied upon forwards for defensive play/PK by the USA in both the Olympics and World Championships. I don't care about your petty arguments, but I need to point out that Mesar is a C/W, plays Center and, as overheard from Lapointe, would ideally be a C for the Habs. "We'd ideally like him to be a C," were is words, I believe.Jesus you are consistent.....and that is not a good thing.
You quote a site that has Slaf at #4 and Mesar at #15 and use that of an example of Mesar being the better prospect????? This isn't the first site you looked at either (you are grossly dishonest), this was the only site you could find that had them only separated by 11 picks. It should be no surprise that the same site has Mesar as a center when his is a right winger. You were unable to find anything anywhere to support your ludicrous claim so instead you find evidence that is slightly less damning towards your narrative and arbitrarily adopt it as an endorsement?
Intentionally spewing nonsense like you are doing is exactly what is wrong with the world today.
This will be my final interaction with you.
He's at least Bulis' equal, and that's a lot!He might just beat Lafleur’s points record and becoming an all time great
I like the idea of seeing lines with size and skill, for once, in Montreal. Maybe not a full on Legion of Doom line, but at least a Legion of Gloom, maybe? If Montreal acquired Dubois, it becomes even likelier to see such a line, but in the meantime, from what we currently have:
Slafkovsky - Monahan - Anderson?
Slafkovsky - Dach - Monahan?
Monahan - Dach - Anderson?
Slafkovsky - Dach - Anderson?
Slafkovsky - Monahan - Dach?
With Dubois:
Slafkovsky - Dubois - Monahan?
Slafkovsky - Dubois - Anderson?
Slafkovsky - Dubois - Dach?
Monahan - Dubois - Anderson?
Monahan - Dubois - Dach?
Dubois - Monahan - Anderson?
Dubois - Monahan - Dach?
Dubois - Dach - Monahan?
Dubois - Dach - Anderson?
Yup.

I just find that affirmations during petty arguments tend to backfire when they aren't properly vetted.
Mind you, that probably doesn't affect the validity of your stance on Slafkovsky VS Mesar, but, it doesn't do you well...
Weren't they just measured at the combine? Mesar came in at 5'9 1/2.Super photo!! Big part of our future...from left to right....Guhle (6'3, maybe 6'4), Slaf (6'4...he's slouching a bit in photo making him look 6'3!), Mesar (5'10 - 5'11...might get to 6'0 by 20!), and Xhekaj (6'4).
Mesar as a CENTER/winger...I love it!! The more options the better!
(Suzuki, Dvorak, Dach, Evans, and maybe Mesar as a CENTER...or center/winger!).
I watched the Rochester Rhinos defeat the Chicago Fire when I was a kid. It was a Cup tournament final and a fairly insane experience. Forget the name of the cup but it was a AAA team vs MLS.MLS soccer?
Hard pass.
Ok, thanks...didn't know that (kept seeing 5'10 in the prospect magazines). I'm hoping he will get to at least 5'11! (he's only 18....still has time to grow!).Weren't they just measured at the combine? Mesar came in at 5'9 1/2.
I'm an english illiterate i never gone to school to learn your language. I hope my deficiency in english literature brighten up your day.
The three other guys are wearing caps. Mesar has a good inch or 2 of puffy hair.Weren't they just measured at the combine? Mesar came in at 5'9 1/2.
Xhekaj (said Jackeye) is Xhacked to the nines!!!!!Yup.

The original meaning is for the leading female singer in an opera company.Don’t take it personally. It is funny, but he isn’t laughing at you. There are many mistakes ppl make like this because they have only heard the term, and not read it.
Also, it is Italian and not English. I think it means something like “#1 lady”: prima = top or first; Donna = lady or girl. Maybe some Italian fan can be more precise as I don’t speak Italian lol.

Mesar has not played center for the last two seasons. It is very common for young top players to play center for a long time before shifting to the wing when they move up to play with better players where their strengths often play better on the wing. Of course you wouldn't know such truths from your couch but please continue to embarass yourself.
Mesar in his own words considers himself a winger but what does he know?
Mesar on being drafted by the Habs: 'It's amazing' | Montréal Canadiens
Filip Mesar is thrilled to be joining Juraj Slafkovsky with the Canadienswww.nhl.com
How weak are we talking about here? He's an excellent puck carrier, he's got great vision and amazingly quick hands and he works like a horse, his shot is weak but he's got a great hockey IQ. That's a Center in the NHL not a winger, add the fact he's on the short side of the spectrum he's gotta always be on the move on the open ice otherwise he'll be constantly neutralized by the Defenses.
