So is everyone that was mad at the demotion ok with it now? #RespectTheProcess
From what I'm reading, he looked solid on his call-up.
Hopefully he can continue to improve but I still think he'd be better served at wing for the immediate future. It opens up a lot of negatives for him at center.
Hopefully he follows a similar progression to Hertl. A lot of similarities
115 TOI total for the rest of the season. Boom. Done.Had my blood pressure taken today.
115/72
It's a sign.
He played like 3 games last season as a C. If you compare his time in Hartford and his last game, he seems way more comfortable playing the center position. You missed the part of the season when he was at his most productive playing RW next to Hayes and Kreider?

If you don't believe it, you should hear the kid himself telling that.
the thing that I think can be misleading is that the time he spent on wing with hayes and kreider was BY FAR the best line he played on all year...and then last night he had pretty good linemates in kreider and buch...so is the difference really center vs wing? or is it more about playing with legit top 6 forwards vs 4th liners? I'm not sure we have a large enough sample size playing with top 6 guys yet to know for sure.
Which is why I have prefaced my comments with, ‘if this is the Chytil we see going forward...’. Chytil becoming a legitimate 60-70 point center behind Zibanejad does wondrous things for this organization. But, as I have said before, I have heard a lot of observers who are not yet convinced he’s a center at the NHL...and not just on this board. I’m a doubter that hopes he’s proven wrong.
obviously we would all be thrilled with that...i'm just not sure that he wouldn't become a legit 60-70 point winger given the same opportunity on a line with a legit top 6 forward and other winger.
Kravtsov flees HFD over bogus benching for his heart rate being too low. #RespectTheProcessSo is everyone that was mad at the demotion ok with it now? #RespectTheProcess
Is this supposed to be a joke? I truly cannot tell.Kravtsov flees HFD over bogus benching for his heart rate being too low. #RespectTheProcess
Went back to read what I missed. LOVE THIS POST! My vote for post of the year! This was the perfect move. We play 5 games in 14 days, he will get more ice time in Hartford at center, a position we need him to play. It's also a good kick in the pants that he needs and I'll go out on a limb and say by the end of the month he is back with the Rangers. It won't cripple him mentally, NHL players didnt get there by being mentally soft and if he is that mentally soft that a short term demotion kills his career then he wasnt an nhl player to begin with. He will be fine and I guarantee he comes back more motivated and consistant with his effort, this probably should have happened last year with him and Howden, it certainly worked with Lias.
Honestly, I think that is "low balling" it. Filip has much more potential than that. Obviously depends his line mates and the chemistry of the 3. Hope Quinn stays with whomever his line mates eventually become. Right now, Kreider and Kakko. Eventually probably Buchnevich and someday Kravtsov. Wow!3 G 5 A in 6 games along with a +8. I think he is our 2C of the future. Can see a 30-30 guy if everything works out.
He's also looking thicc.
