Even more positive is that acc to what I've heard he had no symptoms since late November.

Also the word is he's projected to play on the 9th (Chicago) or the 13th (Calgary).
I didn't hear any of that but if accurate that is great news! :)

Where's @mandiblesofdoom with a like on this?
There are conflicting studies. Some don't find a correlation between stronger neck musculature and fewer concussions, but others definitely do.

Think I read Bonino is being put on waivers. Considering he was basically getting the lowest even strength minutes on the team it is a strange comment.
Sorry you don't like the comment. It ruins my day, but yet I find a way to go on.

Any minutes he has were too many. I guess that's why he was very recently put on waivers.

Interesting that it's been almost 2 months symptom free and they didn't rush him back. I guess they were rolling right up through the end of December pretty much and didn't feel the need and wanted to make sure he could train hard and be as healthy as possible before returning.

Could be a very different look team if he comes back and hits the ground running and stays healthy

Said to be skating with the team in a non-contact jersey.

If I were to guess they decided to be on safe side with him this time, because he's been rushed back / played thru injury before.
Also makes me believe that the Rangers knew he would eventually return during the regular season. Hence, why using his cap money in a trade wasn't a possibility

I think there were reports saying the rangers had him focus on strengthening his neck and core muscles.

Eric Lindros tried this to prolong his career. Didn’t seem to help.

i would imagine these exercises would be to help with “normal” hits, considering he was injured on a normal looking hit. i doubt it makes any difference if you get drilled with elbows directly to the face like lindros did.

This was after the Scott Stevens head shot. The hits E absorbed after that weren’t as dramatic but they did a lot of damage. Theres also things like genetics to consider. Eric’s brother had to retire at 21 after a concussion.

Different things work for different people and not every THING works for every ONE. As I said, there are conflicting studies and there are never guarantees.
