Just in terms of the team, I feel like him coming back during the regular season is a huge risk for the Rangers given their cap situation. Having him LTIR'd for the rest of the season allows them to pursue one of the bigger center options that could solidify 3C while having Chytil possibly back as an added bonus. If he comes back before the trade deadline somehow, they run the risk of not getting anybody at the deadline since they're operating with so little cap space as well as him possibly getting hurt again and having Nick Bonino as your 3C in the playoffs. This is different than the Kucherov's of the world where they're good to go and that's it. Chytil is an innocent looking hit away at any time from another concussion.

I'd love for him to come back but I really think it's in the teams best interest, as well as possibly his own, to kinda ride this out until the playoffs.

If he’s ready he’s ready. He’s not the first guy to get concussed. Playing Bonino as our 3C is already catching up to us. And it’s worse for Chytil’s health to come back in the playoffs after not playing for 6 months.

Hopefully some of this was to give him time to come back feeling sharp and ready to play rather than rushed back and taking 3 weeks to find his game again like has always happened in the past

He's been allowed to take his time it seems.

Interesting. It sounds like they worked on strengthening neck and jaw muscles that might make you more susceptible to concussion if they are weak.
What Crosby did I think.. Made it stop for him.

The best acquisition is Chytil. The team was rolling and playing the right way before he went down. Again, Chytil's absence has made people think this is a rebuilder because of how much they have had to overplay Bonino. Even if they swap Wheeler out for Berard or Edstrom, that's a win.

Chytil would certainly help. It'd likely knock Brodz back to the A which is where he should be. Having another line that could be an offensive threat would obviously be a good thing.

It doesn't solve the bromance, Wheeler, Bonino, Goodrow, our top 4 D pairings or Igor basically being a Devils level goalie. We also don't know what Chytil is going to look like when he returns. Is he going to require significant ramp up time? Is he going to be gun shy about getting dinged again? Is it only a matter of time before he gets dinged again?
