I always think of the week the Habs had Jay Leach as a waiver pickup in 2009-10 (during our centennial season when we wore a bunch of historic jerseys) and so while he only played 7 games he wore like 4 different jerseys lol (this one, the barber pole, and the normal home and away I think)

What is your favorite past jersey and the players you think of wearing it?

I own a 4XL of one of these (same Kolzig) and I can tell you it looks nowhere as good in real life as the pictures. I don't know if they had a special cut made out for goaltenders or if it's the professional camera work or whatever. The stretching eagle from side to side is really off-putting - especially when seen reversed in a mirror. Also the very tip of the wing keeps peeling off.

Nice for nostalgia but an absolute 0 for compatibility and/or comfort.

To be clear, I prefer the current Oilers uniforms, but this was a nice departure for a while which defined a different era in team history. I'll always remember it and many of players who wore it fondly - guys like Weight, Joseph, Grier, Smith, and Roloson

Is it just me or is this thread showing a trend toward the 'muted' colours of yesterday? The bright 'retro' colours tho hailed and adorned this past decade+ as 'timeless' are again outwearing their welcome - faux-pas even.

Kinda makes you stop and think.
