FAQ: Going to Anaheim and Honda Center

Well on Gametime I believe you buy the tickets straight from them. Not sure how their fees work.

714 (no fees) has them as cheap as $15 for uppers.

Stubhub has them as cheap as $8.

They are only the conduit, they don't own the tickers they sell. It looks like brokers and teams themselves may be supplying the last minute tickets. The owner of the SF Giants is a partner in the venture. Other investors are not being divulged.

Winnipegger heading to Anaheim for Teemu night

Hey all! Will be coming from Winnipeg for Teemu night with some buddies. First time to Anaheim. How is the party scene? Anything I should know?

Good atmosphere, pub style, geared more towards 30+, hot flirty chicks.. Anything good out there?

Where are you staying? Are you going to rent a car?

I like hanging out in the beach cities for nightlife. Based on what you said I'd check out the Newport Beach area. Upscale area right on the water, lots of bars and people in that age group.

Hey guys, what's the traffic situation like going to John Wayne airport in the mornings?

I'll be going from Knott's Berry to SNA in the morning. I'm dropping my car off at 7:30am. Should I be leaving about 6:00-6:30 to avoid traffic? Any routes I should avoid?

I can't tell you the best time to leave but I would say early. You're heading into a very large employment center and will be competing with people going to work. The straightest route would probably be the 5 south to the 55 south. The 55 south will take you right into the airport. Watch for the sign to the right that says John Wayne. I'd probably leave at 6:00 but I'm paranoid about being late to the airport.

Thanks. I drop my car at 7:30, but my flight doesn't leave until 10:00 so I'm not too worried about missing the flight. I'm just not sure how fussy car rental companies are if I don't drop the car off when I say I will.

You might want to call them and ask. Sometimes there is an hourly add on for being late. After about 3 or 4 hours you've paid for another day. If the car check in is flexible then yeah, you have plenty of time if you leave by 6:30 or even later.

I used to commute this very same route everyday, I lived right down the street from Knott's for years. I would avoid the 5 to the 55. I used to take Beach Blvd all down to the 405 and go south. It's slow go at times, but not as bad as the 5/55 can be. Used to take me not quite an hour to get to work at 8:30, and I got off just a few exits before the airport. I'll wave to you from my work, I'm right around the corner from John Wayne.

Thanks kducks! I thought that route looked a little safer but I wasn't sure. That'll be my escape route then.

Per Lance Pugmire:

"New 20-feet-tall, 30-feet-wide scoreboard coming to Honda Center in September, arena official announces."

Booooyahhhh

Hello ducks fans, Pens fan coming in peace.

I will be attending the pens vs ducks game on March 6th and was hoping to have a chance to take pictures of the pens and possibly get autographs from them. Does anyone know the best way to do this? This is my first time that I will be seeing my favorite team and I can't wait.

Your best bet is the day before game day, they practice in the morning after the Ducks practice if there is no event at the Ponda that day. If there is they would practice at Anaheim Ice. Go to the back of the Ponda by the ramp, the guys will sometimes come out when they jump on the bus.
