Relievers aside from the known names like Betances, Clippard, Herrera, are usually easier to commit to once May rolls around. That's usually when I pick up 2 solid relievers in my roto league.

Aside from that usual stuff I've got my eyes on Shaw, Benoit, Bush, Ziegler etc

Glad I picked up Haniger and grabbed Benoit. Just will need to make room for JD Martinez at some point but I'm sure that situation will figure itself out.

Yeah, I probably should have just dragged my feet more with Nate Jones and kept my eye on 5-10 guys over the next 4-5 weeks before switching up. I do like my other 4: Chapman, Rivero, Neris, and Bedrosian (I've never paid for Chapman in any league before, and I'm sure I'll be happy about the decision when he has a massive week and puts me over the edge in a close matchup). I decided to take a $1 flier on Justin Wilson.

I also quickly pulled the plug on my Carlos Gomez experiment. Again, probably a little too hasty in trying to move on this in week two, but I saw that Haniger was still sitting on the wire, and I figure he's a smarter hot streak to ride for a while and re-assess.

I cut Haniger for Chris Owings before Haniger went on his mini hot streak. Ugh. I mean, Owings has been really good, but I didn't think Haniger would keep the #2 spot in the lineup after his slow start. Dammit.

I wanted to ease Aaron Judge into my starting OF- I have Trout, Marte, Eaton, Brantley & Peraza as my current starters.

Missed out on 3 straight games with home runs.

Jesus christ. Maybe I should've been sitting Brantley hahaha

Judge hits too low in the order to make a huge fantasy impact. In terms of the Yankees' lineup construction, I have no idea why Hicks has been hitting second.

First year me and some friends did a baseball pool, do I drop dyson for addison reed?

I feel like i should give him more time, saves, era, whip, k, wins, all count.

Unless i drop a hitter, my hitters typically on the bench are schoop, victor martinez, matt holiday, and ellsbury, yeah i went to heavy on the hitting.

But i am very curious if i should cut ties with dyson already or give him more time. Not much for closers or Relief pitching but i did notice addison reed.

First place in pitching in my AL Only league. Last place in batting. Byron Buxton letting me down for a third straight year.

Familia is coming back soon, but Reed is good for ratios.

I've got my eye on 3B Suarez' hot start. Finding who to cut though is interesting. Granderson, C.Gomez. It's an 8 player keeper league. Got some older players so I'd like to throw younger players a bone in terms of adds. It's a roto league that counts traditional stats including ops

Just made probably the biggest fantasy trade I've ever made.

Braun, Kershaw and Nola

for

Votto, Machado, Darvish and Rodon.

Daym. Sorry, I just like Votto too much to hold onto Kershaw.

My bats are 0/30 today. Coming into the day I was in first place (roto). Any guesses how far I'll drop? FFS.

Update: Finished 3/50. Good for a .060 average.

I think I might just cut Buxton loose and cut my losses. I took a weird flier on him late in our draft, but spent a bunch of draft dollars because the draft had gotten late, and then we had some strange on-the-fly rule change that draft money was not really going to carry over til next year, which got revoked. End result was me having Buxton for $23, and I think it's probably just time to get rid of him so I can try more interesting options. Just tossed him on the block, hoping to maybe get some waiver dollars, but I don't see any upside, so it's time to just do the smart thing and move on.

Thinking about taking a flier on Thames. He's still a free agent, and I think Miller Park will help him sustain his performance for the most part. The speed hasn't even come yet, but he has big enough upside.

And really, even if Buxton turns things around, there's no way I'd keep him at that price, and he's probably only an ok #3 fantasy outfielder in the best of worlds this year. He's a waste of a roster spot. Ugh.

I've crushed my opponent this week, and for some reason it's making me feel like tinkering a bit.

3B: Moustakas vs Eugenio Suarez?

OF/U: Buxton, Judge, Thames? (pick one)

Leaning towards staying the course with Moustakas, and grabbing Thames while dropping Buxton. I could also try and add both Judge and Thames, and drop whichever I don't want if I get both, or drop Josh Bell, who I think is serviceable enough for solid points when he's playing, but I am not sure he brings too much fantasy value without a bit more of a breakout in terms of power.

Judge I really don't know a lot about - surprising to me that he's available. My league is H2H points.

I think Thames might just be the person to grab, because I'm not really concerned with turning a young player into a possible keeper option, and I suspect that Thames could be the possible breakout-monster season type, so better to act somewhat aggressively with the last spot on my roster in week 3 than to be kicking myself from mid-May onwards.
