Bristol had 100k people in the stands last night and they got a pretty mundane race to watch. Deffenilty a letdown Kyle Larson shut things down like a Jacques Lemaire Devils team!
That's one of my favorite tracks. Love how small it is. There's just no space out there because the track is even smaller than the track they use for running at your high school.

And I can imagine going to see a race there is much harder on the ears than the mile plus tracks.

It's gotta be like watching a race in a football stadium!

They do 15 second laps at 125 mph. Yeah pretty intense. Your average half mile is about 18 19 seconds to circle around. Just didn't have the hard "rubbin" is racing that made Bristol such an attraction last night. Yeah they have played college football at Bristol and next year the Braves and Reds will play ball!

F1 and Nascar were snoozers this past weekend which is disappointing since it was Bristol and Singapore. I miss IndyCar :(

The variably banked Bristol since the reconfiguration is GREAT racing when there’s tire wear. Sunday was not the case. Zero wear.

They just need to reconfigure it back to the original banking if they want the one groove Bristol back Nascar has been desperately trying with the PJ1 crap.

Yeah Bristol was packed and I think the spring race got people all pumped for night race only to be let down. The track is fine these gen 7 cars have so many issues on short tracks. A one grove track can be exciting if you can get to the leader. Nobody was getting to Larson. Last I checked he's still leading!

I thought Norris was pushed off thr track by Verstappen at the end there but apparently what Verstappen did was ok. At least there was some drama in the race even if the winner was never in doubt
yeah, how is it a penalty to norris if Verstappen left the track to defend his position

Thats where IndyCar is vastly superior to F1. They let the drivers race and are not ticky tacky on track limits on road courses.
The Indy 500 has a much wider track with plenty of room so passing isn’t such a close quarters affair . Not sure about other Indy tracks though in terms of dimensions.

IndyCar enforces strict track limits on Ovals, too dangerous not to. IndyCar does not enforce strict track limits on road courses and let them have at it

The F1 I'm starting to see is that the races are becoming one stop affairs and whoever gets the best start wins. The margins of victory have been too great and it's not just one car that wins in runaway fashion. McLaren, Red Bull, and Ferrari have all had easy wins. A one stop nearly wire to wire win is not that exciting. They need more drama like yesterday's battle for third. Next season you said Indy car is going to be televised on a bigger network?

The race today is in Mexico. Ferrari starting on the pole. They might take the constructor title from McLaren. Verstappen has enough of a lead he will win the driver championship. This race is shaping up to be tedious if Verstappen makes no effort o challenge Ferrari and just blocks Norris all race.
