I remember when we looked like this. We bulldozed the league and won the first of back to back Cups.

Seriously I haven't seen this since Sully first took over. This is unbelievable hockey the boys are playing. I dunno how long it lasts but I'm gonna sit back and enjoy the ride.

Yep.

I'm not thinking about the playoffs it the cup or the trade deadline.

Right now, just sit back and watch this team play awesome hockey.

It won't last forever, but I don't care. This is a blast to watch.

You mean like Sid did last year?

Not really.

For whatever reason, the team does a better job integrating Geno coming back late in the season from an injury than it does Sid.

Maybe being the difference between being a team player and a player’s team?

How took our normal dynamic with the Islanders and where did they pu- actually, second thoughts, don't want it back.

Much wow.

Retaliating? He was trying to get up?

Letang took a couple small shots. But. Not much by NHL standard.

Anybody else worried that Geno coming back will throw a wrench into this chemistry we have going on right now lol

A little because that's how shit goes sometimes, but I'd rather worry about that than worrying where the chemistry's going to come from...

I don't know how, if you're Hextall, you're not looking at what's happening right now and thinking ADD.

Maybe another division, with one of the biggest contenders, you're more reticent, but look at this division. NYI. Boston. Washington. All those team's have questions. He adds that right guy-- a Horny type who can slot with Geno and Kap or down the lineup-- and I think the Pens go from having as good a chance as anyone to reach the conference finals out of the division to the favorite to do it.

Which division is our conference final against?

Anyway. Small things I liked.

+ Matheson and Marino, obvs

+ McCann having the patience to see nothing on and keep it and get rewarded

+ Cody Ceci casually zipping all over the place like he's a great all round dman

+ Jankowski playing that possible wraparound chance perfectly to take it away

+ Zucker's alive

+ Couple of smart zone exit plays by Lafferty

Things I don't like

Joke aside, this is why I'm hoping Zucker-McCann-EROD works.

We KNOW Sullivan is going back to BART. It's not even a question. So, if that Zucker-McCann-EROD line sticks and you know you've got GCR, then it becomes easier to reintegrate Malkin and Kapanen and some small addition from the outside on a 'new' line.

The thing that worries me is Sullivan square pegging Zucker onto a line with Malkin and Kapanen. As long as he doesn't do that, I'm not really worried about guys coming back.

No you make trades to get rid of the shitty depth players to give a chance to the young guys from WBS.

Get rid of guys like Sceviour, Lafferty and Jankowski and give NHL chances to guys like O'Connor, Zohorna and Gaudreau.

There's nothing O'Connor has done that suggests he should be playing on a good NHL team. Zohorna really either - Gaudreau should stay, but meh as to the others.

Isn't Gaudreau older than both Lafferty and Jankowski...? ;)

It's fine to call that. Let's see them call it on the Isles the rest of the game.

All my earlier takes have been horrible so far. Which is very nice.

I think it's Tampa's division in the conference finals. When you look at how they do standings, the order is that division, our division, the west, and the Canadian division.
