Broken collarbone? He must be too small.

World juiniors right?PPG in the KHL, probably looking at the olympic team captain.

Okay that’s what I thought. I don’t think the focus should be on whether he takes in a leadership role ok the team, just focusing on racking up the points will be good for his development.I think he meant WJS, it wouldn't be Olympics.
Isn't eligible for WJC. Too old. Not that I think he'll somehow captain a team that will likely have Ovechkin and Malkin, or even make the team.Okay that’s what I thought. He meant to be funny, you somehow missed it.I think he meant WJS, it wouldn't be Olympics.

Since he is signed and a top prospect, hard to imagine a scenario where he isn't in North America next season. With the slow season he's having though he is not ready, he needs another year or two after this one before the NHL. Looking at players like Chinakhov who is around the same level and came over a bit early imo, Amirov should stay in the KHL until ready
That depends if his coach keeps insisting he doesn't see a spot for Amirov in his lineup or not. At the very least the Leafs will play him in premium minutes in a premium league. Can't say the same about Ufa right now.
I think he's saying we'd give him prime minutes in the AHL.Yes his team is hard to break into. It's not guaranteed the Leafs would give him good top 6 ice time. I think he can still develop well with 1-2 more years in Ufa. Let's not forget he had an injury before the season started.
