If it is true that he was hit first, I doubt he will be sentenced. When you are defending yourself, you are even allowed to use stronger force than the attacker. At most they can call it causing physical harm by negligence (it would be impossible to prove intent to cause injury), which is a misdemeanor and he would get a suspended sentence (if at all). Alternatively, it could be qualified as rowdiness, also a misdemeanor. Either way, unless there is more to it, he will not see the inside of a prison cell for this incident.

Well, just stop with all this shitty statements, he did whqt he did, but lets not act like he jumped and smashed his opponent for nothing. I can imagine that the guy who did hit Sykora from behind was all over his head playing against national hockey players and totally over motivated by “huge” crowd filled by a lot of his schoolmates watching their game so he stupidly tried to show of and hit Sykora, who i guess was the main reason why there was so many girl classmates of this moron in the crowd. He probably tought that he will live up from it, and basically, he will thanks Molnar, he did what he had to as a teammate, as a friend and also to teach that opposite team a lesson. After all, im glad it was Molnar right next to it, as a son of retired national multi champ in boxing.

I don't really know the player that much; is he actually crazy on ice? Like short fuse and stuff?
He is not crazy, but his body language is terrible - during this year's Hlinka he often looked like was pissed he is even part of the team. Nobody likes losing, but he only put in effort when on the puck and even then he would use his teammates as little as possible.

Just doesn't seem like a good teammate at all and I am unsure why is he even doing a team sport if that's the case.
Of course, I don't know him personally, this is just my opinion based on what I have seen of him.

Yes, he is a minor, but responsible (14-18 yrs) for his behaviour according to Criminal Codex. So, he can get lower sanction according to Criminal Codex than adult.

According to statement of Police department, he is accused of two things/acts - sanctions are 6 months to 3 years in prison (one act), or 6 months to 10 yrs (second act) in prison. But, it is more complicated with criminal process, so do not take these sanctions as ultimate verdict. Important to note - resumption of innocence as a base principle of criminal law.

He was arrested by police, but released after a hearing.

Looks like a prank from his team. Those two female cops are really strippers and going to give him a memorable experience.

Nothing wrong with dropping the gloves irl sometimes. Probably was playing those floorball kids who play soccer. Man I hate playing soccer kids in floorball.

Actually, you are right. It was mainly soccer vs. hockey players playing floorball in this case :)

If he was hit first I don’t see the issue here
It looks like he wasn't. It looks like Sykora was fouled, kid accepted the call and went to penalty area, but Sykora got angry. He grabbed kid's neck and the argument started. Other kids came and Molnar threw two big hits on someone else's jaw which required surgery. One-time, very stupid act especially when it was school floorball game.
He should just apologize and say he boiled over, but he is trying to bend things instead.

no surprise ... Nitra is awful this season and he needs to play a lot more ... rather than be a 13th forward with 5 minutes per game ... he will be fine ... i'm glad for him ... he can easily reach more than 1 ppg

About Molnar incident..

Several members of this community may remember me from the past. I made videos and posted them on YouTube. Memorial Ivan Hlinka between 2010-2015.

Of course you can believe me, but you don't have to. But in this case I have no reason to lie.

It was a floorball tournament match between the two schools of Nitra and Zlate Moravce. At the end of the match, one player of the Moravce fouled Sykora badly. He was sent off, Sykora grabbed him by the neck on the way to the penalty bench, and that's how the whole incident began. The later injured player was on his team's bench at that time.

After Sykora's reaction to the foul, the players started from the benches and the battle began. Molnar took the first hit, but not from the player he injured. Molnar began to rage. First, he kicked the first opponent with his knee in the chin, causing the boy's tongue blocking airway.

Molnar continued looking for the player who fouled Sykora. He made a mistake and punched and kneed wrong opponent in the face, causing a major jaw fracture to a player who had nothing to do with the incident.

The injured player underwent surgery.

The irony of everything is that the injured player is a fan of HK Nitra, attending the team's matches.
