I could see him pushing for a spot at the WJC with how good of a skater he is, but I think it’s unlikely that any 2005 borns are brought outside of Dvorsky. He can sometimes try a little too much when getting the puck out of his own zone but his skating and puck handling ability usually makes up for that. He reminds me a lot of Nik Ehlers. I’m sure scouts will have plenty to see him this year in Nitra when watching Nemec.
He already said that in interview ... He wants to stay in Nitra and CHL in his draft year. And why not? 3rd line + 2nd PP unit perhaps... Ideal for him. Will he stay in Nitra? I think, he has talent, but to play low minutes in our top league isnt the right deal for him. Sweden, Finland?
Nitra today has 4 prospects for the 2023 draft. Molnar, Ridzon, Zold and also Pekarcik (riser, before this season he was a noname for me, but the boy has really great playmaking skills and movement better than Zold). It is clear that all 4 will not stay in Nitra. I see that 2 or 3 will go the way of CHL and Molnar could really fit OHL.His production so far has been good, but not great. I think he could benefit a lot from a move to the CHL next season. I still expect him to push hard for a spot at WJC
Slovak prospects showing fighting ability in past 2 days
Let’s hope it will translate to NHL success. We are badly in need of NHL forwards.Slovakia seems to have a deeper talent pool than most years. Makes me glad!
I agree, his upside is with the top 12-15 players in the draft. He has all the tools, the only thing can be his focus sometimes and he loses his cool when he’s not playing well. Still, watching him at HGC, I think he was just as good as guys who were there and are projected as first rounders this year. It’s a shame we aren’t in the top u18 div, but he should still be fun to watch in Div1Despite he isn´t scoring many points and his season seems disappointed statistically, everytime when I see him playing he passes my eye test. He has all the tools for being a physical speedy goal-scoring winger, potential is definitely there.
Although I´m not always a fan of an European player going to overseas in this case I hope for it. Molnar´s playing style is suited so well for NA rinks and I think he could be excellent in CHL next season. 1st round potential is surely still there although he is typical example of boom-or-bust player.
Agree. I kinda think he could be very good in upcoming U18 championship, unfortunately only Div1. I wouldn´t be surprised if he ends in MVP conversation of this tournament because I feel he deserves more from this season, he plays better than his numbers suggest.I agree, his upside is with the top 12-15 players in the draft.
