there was a rumor in Slovak media about trading him for Drouin. I believe it was not meant like "I want to be traded". He is kinda weird and actually quiet and I wouldnt think too much about it to understand. He is still young to play another 2 years in Europe to become more complete player, then ahl and then maybe NHL. The other thing is, that his team Slovakia U20 coach said that he didnt have any problem with him and is surprised that there is a picture (mainly in media) of Reway as a player with attitude issues. He was a captiain of bronze medal U20 WCJ team after all.

That wasn't a rumor from Slovak media, that was his own Instagram. It was either wanting to be traded or being an immature teenager on social media. We don't need to think too much about it because the GMs will do that for us and decide what to make of it.

He doesn't want to play in the AHL, I don't think he'll want to when he's older either, unless he finally figures out it's what clubs want him to do. He is technically young but in reality he's not that young either. 3 Montreal forward picks from his draft class have already played in the NHL and Lehkonen is on the faster track.

He may be a great guy, but media perception also killed Johnny football. I read somewhere that he wants the European salary to support a family, not out of greed, that's great intentions, and maybe he had great intentions with the other run-ins with management and just one silly social media mistake. The scenario you're describing is like Artemi Panarin, and that's of course a possibility.

Also, gohabsgo reported that he butted heads with Fribourg Gotteren staff, and I'm not sure that's true because he had nothing but good things to say about them however, if it is true, the red flags keep waving.

I'm pretty sure Johnny football going to clubs 3x a week and threatening to kill his girlfriend killed his career...the media just tagged along for the ride

During the whole trade deadline thing he posted a pic that suggested that, got a lot of likes lol, but had to take it down.

He posted a pic that, in my reading of the situation, likened how MTL was treating him to how TBL had been treating/dealing with Drouin. I'll try to source the link, it was posted on the Habs board today.

Sounds like the Habs have made an offer to Reway, I know at least one KHL team was trying to sign him.

I think he has no future in NHL. He's too fragile. And he's the same player he was 2 years ago.

As a Habs fan, I am also not expecting much. This is very much high risk-high reward.

Soft, not very good defensively are not the best attributes. When you combine with not easily coachable, it seems like a trainwreck. If he doesn't play good enough defensively, he will play limited minutes or not at all. And from what we've seen, he is not willing to understand criticism and acts like a diva. I don't expect him to be in montreal for very long, or the NHL for that matter.

But who knows... his talent is tremendous... and IF it works out. IF he learns to listen to the coaches and is commited to improving all areas of his game, he could be a game breaker. I am just happy that Habs management want to give it a shot. It would be a shame to not try to improve the team offensively with the lack of scoring talent on the Habs currently.

I'm way more excited for Lekhonen though.

I'm not expecting much. I can't remember the last time a Habs prospect came to town with so many red flags.

But hey, you won't know until you try. Maybe he'll grow up. At least we'll find out for ourselves.

The loss to Belarus. May 11th I think. Parties involved were Reway, Dano, and Bakos.

Common boys. There was not fight. Maybe some phrases like ".... you" or "you ....", that you can hear in every office. Dont transfer mosquito to a elephant.
