His brother is a ++ skater. One of the two fastest in the Flames organization. This guy will be the annual example of GMs and scouts overthinking size
I've seen a few comments about the flames in this thread and assumed this guy was somehow the younger brother of Emile Poirer. Couldnt believe flames fans wanted to draft him because of that.... looked it up and it makes more sense now lol

Left off McKenzie’s final rankings, didn’t get on as an honorable mention either.

Of course he went to Carolina. I thought there was a chance for Calgary, but leave it to Carolina to steal an NHL'er in the fifth round due to sizeitis.

Ceiling on this kid?

25-30 goal scorer, quality ceiling.

...buuut the skating concerns are legitimate, there's a reason he nearly fell to the 6th round and it isn't simply because he's short.

He has big upside but he's a long shot to just make it.

He'll be fun to track for sure.

I don't think you understand what ceiling / floor means... which is surprising for someone visiting this site since 2016.
I don’t think you understand how to reply to people, which is surprising for someone visiting this site since 2002 😂.

As for Poirier, I don’t think he makes it, so therefore, imo, his ceiling is below NHL level. It’s possible he doesn’t even stick at the AHL level.
