Lol relax dude. I never said he's a horrible person. He seems like he's playing a character, that's all I'm saying. My point had nothing to do with politics. Trump is a very magnetic speaker and he plays cockiness off in a humorous manner. Seemed to me like Howard was going for that vibe, I found he fell short and didn't come off naturally.

He has also been documented as having a big head through the whole draft process. There was a reason why he dropped so many spots in both the rankings and the actual draft.

Shane Wright came off more pretentious especially before the draft but nobody's complaining because he's media trained to give non-answers to questions he's asked.

Howard seemed more than content with where he was drafted, he didn't say anything that made it come off as if he thinks he's been wronged for being picked "late" and what he bragged about wasn't hockey related.

I hope for the best for this kid, I mean no ill will toward him at all. I don't dislike him as a human or think he will be a bad player. It's healthy to be confident in one's self, there's a line though. I think he could have a very bright hockey future.

Yea, as long as there's no underlying unhealthy narcissism going on it's fine if you're cocky. I obviously don't know the guy so I can't confidently say anything, but based on my limited views he didn't come off cocky in an unhealthy way.

Personally I'm just happy with seeing a player showing personally, I absolutely hate how media trained everybody is, you can never tell who's genuinely humble and who isn't.

He went where players that are similar usually go. Small scorers who aren't elite skaters usually don't go higher than late first.
