I like when guys have personality, no problem with the white suit and confidence, but even if he was the best looking person there, that's just... oof.
Kid's got a big head, hopefully that doesn't derail him

Led the uber talented team in scoring and many others drafted before him... there are reasons.... one thing Tampa has going for them is the ability to develop so a pretty decent landing spot.

You can see why he dropped. Not because of talent, but perhaps his interviews. I have never heard an interview of a player being drafted and saying he was the best looking guy here. Think he was trying to be funny. Will say this, if he keeps his head on right, he has a real chance to be a steal this draft. On talent alone, I would have had him in the 10-15 range. If any team can develop him it's TB.

Yeah, I like the pick but he seems like a total dweeb to me. I actually thought it was a kinda funny line when I read it, because I’m sure he’s well aware he’s far from the best looking guy there, but him repeating the same shit across interviews was really embarrassing. Seems like he’s going for a Trump vibe but, say what you will about Trump the politician, but his delivery/timing as a goofball/comedian is on a different level.

Lol hockey fans in general might just be the stuffiest collective of people out there. They pretend they want some characters in the league, but really they just want to see guys talk about digging deep and getting more pucks to the net during the intermission.

I mean, seriously - the guy says he's good looking and wears a turtleneck and now people are legitimately arguing that this is why he wasn't picked higher.

"I wish players showed some personality"

You know, the first thing I do when somebody does something like this is look to see how the people who know him react, and his teammates seem to love him.

Kid took a risk doing what he did, to me that kind of self amusing idgaf I am going to have fun personality at my own expense is a plus and personally endearing to me. We have seen real narcissistic attitudes in Tampa, headcases that were locker room distractions, this isn’t it, the goofball is a welcome addition.

lol yea I liked his outfit but when he opened his mouth I was like "yep, not my type of guy"
