Watched this kid play against my son at 5,6,7 yrs old and he was so much further ahead of the other kids in terms of development it was insane. Always figured he would make the NHL. Disappointing he's representing the US. Wouldn't be surprised if he jumped up the draft rankings playing in Seattle.

Is he going to play in the top six and top PP?

I think he could have a huge season. He was the most skilled player on the NTDP 17's last season. His point totals don't tell the full picture.

It's hard to say... Sure last night's game is making a strong case he could, but Seattle is going to be a very strong team this year with many good forward vets on the team. I'm sure throughout the year he will get his chance but as of now it's tough to say if he will consistently all season.

Last night Seattle didn't play too many veterans and went with alot of young guys so it's cool to see that he was the one that stood out most amongst the young guys

Great debut for him though!!

The process to get American citizenship is long and complex. You have to be a permanent resident for at least 5 years to even qualify to apply for citizenship. USA Hockey has no political standing or influence in the States to have the government break process to help them get recruits. It doesn't happen. If it did, Sawchyn wouldn't have had any apparent issues.
If one of his parents is American Sawchyn can get a USA passport with ease before turning 18.

Went to the CHL top prospects game tonight and this guy was the biggest stand out to me. Can’t believe he only had 2 pages on here when I searched him lol. The next Kravtsov

Flashiest guy for sure. Made some nice passes and dangled a bunch of guys.

Would be interested to hear some reports on his play in Seattle. If he’s stuck behind guys there or not.

So this years Firkus Circus? I guess he’s moving up to an really early 2nd round pick… or sneaking into the late 1st like a Greig.
