F Dalibor Dvorsky (2023, 10th, STL)

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.
  • We are currently aware of "log in/security error" issues that are affecting some users. We apologize and ask for your patience as we try to get these issues fixed.
I think Montreal takes him at 5
That would shock me. You never know though. Only takes one team willing to take a punt and prepared to reach for upside. Having said that, this draft is very forward heavy and Dvorsky has been sort of trending in the wrong direction, at least relative to his competition. The upside is still there of course but he's been passed over last season so based on that, in my view he's more of an option for the backhalf of the 1st.

I'd say it's a possibility but it looks more like Leonard/Reinbacher is the Habs debate.

I hope he will not end in Montreal. This is not the best destination for player's development..

Lol what - they just instituted one of the more forward thinking development departments in the league.

Playing Allsvenskan (All Svens Can?) doesn't seem like a very common route for top U18 prospects.
well you got what you wanted, he was just signed by a SHL team

So when a team announces his name next week do they say from “AIK in the Allsvenskan” or ‘Oskarshamn in the SHL” ? :sarcasm:
the later.

oskarshamn is perfect club for him

2 year contract, you guys think it will affect his draft position?

or i quess most teams didn't expect him to jump into the nhl in the next two years anyways.

What do they say when Benson gets drafted? He’s being drafted out of Winnipeg…which is moving to a place he’s never been and hasn’t physically happened yet.

Kid is going to drop just so a GM doesn’t have to figure it out

From Bob Mckenzie’s ranking today:

Big Five?” another scout chimed. “I think it could very well be [a Super Six] with Dvorsky in that group [regardless of when/where Michkov goes]. A big centre with elite hockey sense, elite competitiveness and I believe the offence is there when he plays in his peer group. The only knock is he’s not an explosive skater.”

That scout isn’t the only one who believes Dvorsky warrants inclusion in the Super Six.

“Don’t sleep on Dvorsky,” another said.

No, if they like where he is after his year next year they can play him in the NHL. But, I think 2 years over in the SHL is the right development path for him, anyway.

I’m a bit unsure how to view this guy. Have any draft guides actually said what kind of production they expect from him?

If so, I’d like to hear about those predictions.

Thanks

Am I wrong if he reminds me of Anze Kopitar? With his maturity, hockey IQ and defensive awareness he truly has 1C upside.
Are you confusing Dvorsky with Honzek?
Dvorsky is a project. The opposite of mature. His transition to pro hockey failed for now. He also projects as more of a sniper/winger than a creative two way Center. He's quite a bit smaller, too.
