Who knows. Could be great, but also could bomb like Kakko and Hughes

Wouldn't it be better to compare him to wingers as opposed to the centermen that you mentioned? (I know Draisaitl plays as a winger when with McDavid)

It's just that wingers seldom can control the play like centermen do. He does seem to have the talent to be that kind of winger though.

It's an interesting question though. Looking forward to read what people who follow Rimouski or the QMJHL as a whole have to say.

I still say his reverse hit “elbow” reminds me of Richard and Howe.

That caliber of skill and toughness winger don’t come along often.

Draisaitl does it well but Lafreniere intuitively has that element. He’s the best winger prospect since Ovi.

I think he’s in a tier with eichel/Matthews, behind Dahlin

Hard to compare dmen with forwards. I could see him being better than Matthews and Eichel but yeah I wouldnt say hes in a tier separate from those 2 either.

I could see him being similar to Kane offensively with a better all around game

I agree. I just say he’s in a different tier than Dahlin because dahlin is the best defensive prospect in a quarter century

Weaker based on something you read in the newspaper in 1987 ? Or it's just weaker because you said so ?

There is no doubt the Q is the weakest in terms of NHL development.

I dont have this seasons exact #s but last year out of camps NHL rosters featured 156 OHL alumni, 137 WHL alumni and just 82 QMJHL alumni. Nearly half the other 2 league. Obviously inferior.
