Fantilli had at least 3 assists tonight vs BU.

I say at least because the boxscore stopped updating after Michigan went up 4-0 and he had 2 assists at that point, their twitter page tells me he had another assist on the 7th goal...overall they ended up scoring 9 goals.

EDIT: The boxscore on the Michigan website has all the goals listed and I can confirm he concluded the night with 3 assists. That gives him 7 points in 3 games this season.

Exactly the NCAA's website is crap. Couldn't find an actual boxscore anywhere during the game.

could he surpass Bedard and Michkov if he keeps up this level of production??
A big 1st line center would certainly be difficult to pass up on.

Michkov probably yes because of Russia.

Bedard will be very difficult. Would take a significant level of underperformance from Bedard and Fantilli to continue to produce at a 2 ppg pace, both of which are highly unlikely IMO. Even then, Fantilli is like 8-9 months older than Bedard which scouts will take into consideration.

Fantilli outperformed Bedard at the recent U18. If the same happens at the upcoming WJC, there will be more than one team that will consider Fantilli as the better NHL prospect.

This is completely false. Bedard was very obviously the best player on team Canada. Did you even watch the games?

Bedard has as many goals as Fantilli did points, and Fantilli made a brutal giveaway vs Finland to end Canada's tournament.

Fantilli drove the play much more than Bedard. Even Bedard commented on Fantilli's great speed and offensive skill.

Fantilli was pretty underwhelming if I recall. Bedard was a tier ahead
We will have a chance to assess both players in a few months at the WJC. If Fantilli outperforms Bedard, then you will see a few cracks in the façade of the prevailing consensus.

Fantilli was very underwhelming in the tournament. Bedard was far and away Canada’s best player.

With Michkov's contract situation he's already passed him.

Too early to say that. He could. It’s all a toss-up. Some executives are not going to drop Michkov because of his contract status and others will, so to convince those people that aren’t dropping his stock, it’ll take Fantilli being better than Michkov.

In this league where a majority of teams seem to be "all in", they can't wait 3 years for him to help the team. Especially for a GM on the hot seat to be fired.

Maybe teams like Arizona or Seattle because they're nowhere close to contending. Or somehow he drops to Washington who have no problems drafting Russians.
