Never say never (see: Wright, Shane) but I don't think 7 teams will be able to help themselves unless Fantilli has a Wright-like season. He may not be worth a selection that high, but if he puts up even an average freshman year stats-wise, there's going to be a lot of "seen him good" types clamoring for him Top 5.
That’s kind of what I’m saying. I’m predicting a mediocre draft year for him, plus others will rise.

Wright's draft year wasn't even that bad

Michigan is posed to push for a Championship at a higher level of hockey.
Are they though? It's kind of difficult to say that when the majority of the roster is turned over year after year. They were heavy favorites this past season and they lost in the semifinal to Denver.

I'd argue that he'd get more of an opportunity to stand out offensively in the CHL. He'd likely see more playing time and he'd get more exposure in markets that NHL scouts frequent regularly, playing closer to the GTA.

They return possibly the best player in college hockey, another first round pick, and have potentially the best recruiting class in the country. They'll be very good once again next season.

North Bay also could be very good, but I think there's more exposure to be had at higher levels of hockey.

There will be just as much exposure in North Bay if Fantilli is there. Maybe they will be able to evaluate him better if he is the NCAA.

Is he even their top C? He's on a team with Nazar and McGroarty. I think there are a lot of obstacles for him in the NCAA in a program where it'd be very easy for him to play passenger or be dwarfed by someone ready to make more significant contributions.

If he's looking to be a top three or top four pick, I'm convinced the best place for him to be is a top line center on a Memorial Cup contender.

He’s not going to North Bay…especially when he can be in Ann Arbor playing along side his brother on A better team. His exposure will come from being in the back yard of Team USA. All he has to do is look at the top 5 of the 21 draft

This doesn't address any of the points made. Going where his brother goes is better for his brother.

The '21 draft was a significantly shallower talent pool. And Fantilli is going to be competing for playing time against players with 1st round draft pedigree as a 17 year old.

I don't think that he's going to North Bay. I'm saying that doing so would be better for his draft stock.

I know it’s a 5 on 3, but god damn was that some terrible D. Nice shot, but they have him basically limitless time and space even when in a totally prime shooting position, defenders not moving their feet AT ALL.
Not that your assessment is wrong, but I'm pretty sure Lindenwood is a 1st year D1 program so it's not that surprising.
