He played a big part in the first goal too.. battled along boards, kept it in. I was preying that my Oilers would take him when he was available in round 5!
He's supposed to be 6'4" 220 lb. If he looks good in this tournament then it should mean he isn't just dominating other 16 year olds with his size.

Turan had 16 PIM in 5 games last year. He probably wanna beat that in this game.
Mysak is a good choice. One of the few good scoring chances that Slovakia stopped was his.
He's always playing a gritty game with a lot of skating a physicality. That's his style. Not a big guy but strong on his skates, reminds me a little bit of Vaclav Varada as a player.

Slovakia just needs to get back their composure. They were absolutely buzzing at the start and then the first goal seemed to rattle them bad and became undisciplined with all those giveaways and penalties.
And they are so passive on the PK, the Czechs are just going to eat them up if they continue like that. Let's see a good game!

Funny Czech sidenote here since we're in intermission. I was complaining that the TSN Top 50 goals had no Czech presence. I recall one Jiri Hudler goal against Ukraine. So I kept complainging... then it got to Top 10 and I swear Czechs were in 7 of them.. all goals against us.lol

It is a pity that Oleksiy Myklukha couldn't convert his break in the opening moments of the game. I thought the penalty on the Chromiak break should have been a penalty shot. Slovakia did not take advantage of their chances, and eventually stupid play and silly penalties have them down.

For sure.. they looked awesome to start. Czechs got a lot of cross crease passes across, that PK needs to stop those!

The PK'ers were very active and close on the side walls in that game...
A player bobbled a puck... the assigned player in that zone was all over said bobbler...
I wasn't joking when I said the Slovak PK looked like a Winnipeg Jets PK...
I've seen that type of approach too often...
One difference for the Jets as opposed to the Slovaks... the Jets have Hellebyuck in goal...
