I don't mind MacKinnon standing up for himself there, it's a pre-season game I'd rather him do that now. As for Parayko, I blame the lack of support from the NA forwards more than the dman on that 3rd goal.

With that said, I wonder if Trouba replaces him in the next game or if he replaces one of the Cbj guys.

From what I saw he got buried into the boards by a cross check in the numbers. Sure, he should keep his cool but isn't that the kind of hit the NHL is trying to get rid of?

Not sure I'd say that. He was invisible in the first half of the game. McDavid, him and Matthews were all really good in the 2nd half.

Team NA's defense costs them big.

Defence wasn't great, but Czech scored 2 fluke (bad) goals.

The kids looked timid/scared/weak in physical battles, especially along the boards.

This could be a blessing in disguise. They played a tough, disciplined Czech team.

The Finns also play a structured team game, hopefully they take the lessons from this and apply it against the Finns.

I'd agree Matthews had the best overall game. Gaudreau and McDavid had the best 3rd period.

i'd say the best player on the ice was either palat, or plekanec. They played very good today and helped contain team NA's lines. Matthews was good as was gaudreau but i'd say one of those two were the best today.
